On the downside, it may mean more competition for us. A good as we all think O'Neil may be, he is not as good as rafa, but imagine if Villa do get taken over and he is handed a decent transfer kitty... he is more than capable of putting together a team to push for a top 4 finish straight away and who knows in a few years time maybe even the premiership. It's not as if he is 'arry down at portsmouth who nobody decent wants to play for. but i suppose that potentially means more points dropped for the a***, mancs & chavs.... could turn out to be good for the premiership

Same here... there was talk about £4-5million at one stage. But if Rafa needs him, then so be it. On a side note... Aren't we still owed money from the Heskey deal...? I'm sure someone mentioned it on here some time back.

Agreed, except for the Kaka bit... a player of that level should be able to do that and it's expected. I'd expect it of Gerrad too. If it was Roberto Carlos on his right peg, well then it might be classed as something special. I still fancy David Villa for Golden Boot... I wonder what the odds were at the start of the tournament.

Not sure... you still have to have good technique and shot power to really see any effect of the new ball. So I suppose sh!te players will still be found... i.e. Fat frank blazing over on many occasions in the Ingurland game. No deflections to aid him either.
