In their prime, they'd still be awesome players. Better than the current ones by far.

The devil is in the details. Liverpool have been pretty bad on corner kicks for far too many seasons now. Either the centre backs are replaced by someone better or you organise it differently. A combination of both might be preferable. Also, they need to have a shield in front of them, and today no midfieler in Liverpool are good enough to be that player. Sadly.

Good heavens, this is bad. Anfield has got to be one of the worst grounds. No singing, no banter. The terraces are worryingly silent.

I'm pretty sure Lucas is one of the better player to win aerial duels in the midfield at the club. He seems to time his jumps pretty well..

Until that injury he was player of the season material. He was immense, and he's been nowhere near that level since. Nowadays he's just too slow and those freekicks he always seems to make right around the 16m line... However he really is a top professional and a likable person.

I would prefer to see slightly further up on the pitch. Sometimes he goes too deep, into mid defense territory. And I think that is too far down on the pitch, inviting a bit too much pressure in the centre too low..

Exactly! Suarez knew where players were and he made other players good around him, Jordon Ibe has no vision and he seems to be happy to get (too close to the defnder and hoof it in. He always runs too close to the defender. Same goes for his shooting. He needs to know to be aware of where players around him are much earlier and where they're going to run. -

Liverpool haven't always done well against 'awful' teams. I don't want to see Lucas employed in midfield as he is too prone to making freekicks for the opposition. I want aggression and pace in tomorrows team.

Simple things first: I want the team to not lose every f***ing 2nd-ball out there. This Liverpool-team is not aggressive enough in wanting to win the duels in my eyes. But then again I am a simple man.

Milner tries too hard and stresses too much. He needs to better his decisionmaking and calm the f*** down a bit.

Lucas is a liability for the team. He makes too many free kicks for the opposition, is too slow and isn't very good in attack. I don't think he's good enough to play regularly. That injury vs Man City took away all that was good in him.

Lucas is pretty too often those 2/10s of a second too late in too many situations. That keeps him from being a great defensive midfielder.
