Well, Drogba hasn't stopped falling over yet. He was a beast when he was in Marseille, too. It wasn't as if Chelsea were paying bucks for a nobody. And I don't like him still.
Liverpool 2012/13 are just not better. Pace, technique, physically, tactically a rather average team. Can't expext to play a team as headless as Newcastle every weekend.
This kind of football so far seems to work best against teams that are a bit clueless tbh. Against better/more organised/teams that sit back it doesn't work that well, I'd say. Plan B and plan C isn't there yet.
Offensively he was good, but it seemed like he was passed around by many Newcastle players too easily last night. and didn't give quite a feck about it.
He has to do something with the midfield. The gaps are insanely huge there and I'm not sure Lucas fits this system as he is a tad slow. Jordan Henderson was way off tonight and should have been taken off earlier. There are not much better players on the bench though. But he really has to sort the midfield to next season, yesterday was another one of those games where the opposition had a field day running over Liverpool at the center.
Much better 2nd half. Agger and the midfield stepped up a notch. Deserved win actually, and after the first half I would have never thought that. Benteke is a good player though.
