  1. I can only see is scoring from a set piece.
  2. It's a well known fact.
  3. I like it that they're turks and will like it up the sh!tter.
  4. Out of Europe in August... surely not...
  5. it is probably b******s but I agree with the precedent thing. The players should have f*** all do with selection policy as a group. As individuals chatting to the manager is fine. As a group it's just f***ing cowardly and f*** all to do with it.
  6. I've said it before and I'll say it again... There's not a chance I'll go to home game whilst those f*****s are in charge. It's too far to travel to deal with the guilt. I'd be straight over for a blockade though. I've got a mate who's a barrister who deals with human rights - albeit immigration law. He does all the anti war marches and that stuff though so he'd have an educated opinio... I'll have a chat with him. He's a sympathetic Evertonian though unfortunately so I doubt he'd get too involved.
  7. Probably more like our scouting dossier on him says he wants (comparatively) too much money. And that there was a time when Turkish footballers were easier to get because their currency used to be worth sweet FA.
  8. They didn't realise when we finished out of the top 4 last season.
  9. I'm a fully paid up member of the doom merchants... I'm unhappy about our transfers in and out - I think there's ulterior motives other than football which are guiding them - even if players aren't being forced out of the door, I think it's obvious that players are being encouraged to leave and cheaper alternatives are being sought. I was very rarely worried about losing Torres or Gerrard. I've been a lot more worried about the squad depth and general quality which is getting worse and has been getting worse for years. I'm very worried that we'll finish lower in the league than we did last year. I think we sacked any chance of that being different. Although - I do concede that keeping Rafa probably would have meant it more likely we lost the bigger players as it would have been plain as day we were going to continue to struggle rather than being able to sell the fairytale that a new manager would make things all right again.
  10. What's the odds on no more incomings and a few more outgoings before next week? I'm beginning to think quite likely.
  11. I've been a bit worried about this n'all... When it comes to it - neither Hicks or Gillette would think twice about completely dismantling the club if it meant they could walk away with more / some money. I'm not sure RBS would give two s***s either as long they're paid back the money they're owed.
  12. Noooo...... not Dirk...
  13. I'd rather see Ngog play than Babel meself. And god forbid they both play. Not with Cole as well.
  14. Again, as far as team news goes - this ain't lookin' good. Hopefully Roy will pick a team that looks capable of getting a result. Reina Kelly - Greek - Carragher - Aurellio Kuyt - Lucas - Poulsen - Spearing - Cole N'gog That's what I'm hoping for. If he starts with Babel or Kuyt up front with Ngog or without Lucas and Poulsen I'm gonna go right off him. Also considering we've not taken Agger (and only one LB) - why isn't Insua in the squad? Are we frightened of cup tieing him or something. Bonkers.
  15. They also only won 10 points on the road all season. I'm willing to give Roy the benefit of the doubt over this very worrying statistic now he's our manager - perhaps the quality of our squad will enable him to produce a team with a better record away from home. Can't have it both ways though. Praising the home record opens the can of s***ty worms that was the away.
  16. I dare say a good wedge of that will end up in Ferguson's a*** pocket.
  17. Bit early for this innit Kev? I mean. It's only our first away league defeat. Let's wait a bit and get used to them
  18. to be honest - it's a moot discussion anyway. We've got Hodgson. He needs to learn how to not lose away (never mind win). Something he's had serious f***ing trouble with in the premier league at every club he's been at. If we finish 4th - I'll be serously f***ing impressed. Like I was each time with the previous one.
  19. Yes. that's because time is money smarta***. Time = Money... get it ? The less money they spend, the more the manager gets. Unfortunately - "money" nowadays can be adjectivised with "b******s".
  20. It works everywhere. Time is money. <time = more money. Oh - but football is "special". A bit like you lad.
  21. WHAT??? Which f***ing club do you support you f***ing cretin?
  22. where the f*** hasn't it worked? give me one example of a league that's been won inspite of a) the club spending s*** loads b) the manager being backed to the hilt c) both of the above
  23. Yes - that's because usually - when you win one - you go on to win more. When you've not won one for a while - nowadays - it takes cash and sticking with the same manager. Or cash, cash, cash and sticking with a new manager. It's not f***ing rocket science.
  24. WTF has that got to do with what I said? Parry signed the players. He signed the cheques. Now Purlsow signs the cheques. You either back the manager - or you don't. If you want to sack the manager every 2 years cos he doesn't get the best out of the players that get signed - fair enough. Otherwise sacking a manager cos he doesn't meet unrealistic expectations each season is f***ing suicide.
  25. That works only if you have people behind the scenes in charge of singing good players that the manager wants. We've had f***ing parry and now f***ing purlsow. We've now got a manager who hasn't a clue how to win away from home.
