Don't want to pish on anyone's parade here but that's a f*** of a long way to go to watch what you could watch not twenty minutes from your own front doors. As previously mentioned, Liverpool once adopted Meadowbank Thistle but it was to no avail and they still went under. At least that was Edinburgh though and a good night out was practically guaranteed. Some of these wee Sottish outposts are truly at the a*** end of civilisation, particularly Brechin. A more desolate spot it is hard to imagine. If it is to go ahead, may I suggest Stirling Albion? There's a Holiday Inn express literally right next to their ground and it's a reasonably fine city for a night oot. Lovely countryside surrounding it as well and not too far to travel, given some of the distances you could go. Saying that, once the novelty wears off (and it will ten minutes after KO), you'll realise the entertainment value is pretty low. Unless it's East Fife 4 Forfar 5 or something. On a related note, Stirling Albion used to play at Annfield stadium!

Mine arrive this morning. Well not the season tickets themselves, just the acknowledgement of payment. I'm assuming the cards from last season will be suitably, and magically, altered accordingly. Mmmm, accordingly. Beth Cordingly, isn't it?

Which just goes to prove what the rest of us have always suspected....Kopites are gobs***es!!! I don't know how well respected or otherwise he was when he first started out but certainly towards the tail end of his career, there was enormous respect for him.

Very, very sad news. I particularly used to enjoy watching Dougan. A great player with a great attitude. Wrote one of the few player's autobiographies worth reading as well. I remember one time he had the flu or something and Wolves had him on the sub's bench. In the very last minute of the game which stood at 0-0, they got a corner and brought him on. Dougan leapt like a salmon from the packed penalty area and headed a pearler into the top corner for the only thing he had to do all game.

The fact is, LFC no longer exist. What would you do? Fight to establish a new Liverpool? Support another team. If so, who? Think, "Thank God that's over, now I can do something else with my life"? Or something else?
