This thing about saying we are skint, always seemed a bit deluded to me. It could just as easily be Rafa and co managing the fans expectation as managing those of selling clubs. Seemed to start with the investment rumours. "we've got some investment but we're not going to announce it until after the transfer window...." I am sure whatever Rafa has to spend is enough for him to be able to do his job, else he'd not still be here, so I am not worried.

I meant by coming out and kicking up a stink about moving rather than just leaving Birmingham - I think he probably just wants things done properly.

By the same token he might not want to crap on the club that looked after him when his career could have gone down the toilet. Why is £5M too much? I'd say its a fairly resonable reflection of his value.
