Not sure that qualifies him for greatness, unless Dario Gradi gets added as well. S'all about the trophies, and I think a minimum requirement is to have won a European one. You can't keep him just on the off chance that Reina gets a serious injury, Carson isn't likely to want that and it isn't really fair. His career will just stagnate. Reina's likely to be 1st choice for a good few years now. 2nd choice should be someone who is happy to be second choice - an older guy like Dudek.

You wouldn't buy Carragher based on his world cup performances. You'd probably spend the money on Lucas Neill. Luckily if we buy Kuyt it will have naff all to do with the world cup. People advocating not buying players who have a great world cup, because its not always a true barometer of a players abilities, shouldn't dismiss a player for the opposite reason

Touch was decent most of the time, but had no real chances to speak of. A lot of people have said he reminds them a bit of shearer.
