  1. There were a few pre-edit versions Couldn't think of the right way to express it. I've listened to them, don't like them, think they're a flash in the pan. Not snobbery - I like all sorts of old rubbish. Enjoyed your adaptation though.
  2. They're poo.
  3. Little snippet in todays mirror for what its worth "The mirror understands that Benitez already has a verbal agreement with Feyenoord to sign their centre forward Dirk Kuyt for a fee in the region of £10M"
  4. Its not the keepers. Jermaine Jenas should be the one going home. Aside from the fact that he's not very good, he's only ever likely to play if at least 5 players get injured, and even then not before Sven has played Carra or Ferdinand in his position. Complete waste of time. He offers nothing as a sub, and Sven would likely bring on Carrick or Hargreaves before him. At least Defoe might offer something coming on to try and change a game. I don't see what Jenas offers at all.
  5. Shame but all things to an end I suppose. Been an excellent player for us, and seems to be one of the most popular guys at the club. He'll be perfect for them in that Fat Sam always plays at least one midfielder, if not two, whose only job is to sit and hold.

Trophies and success in the transfer market tend to be inextricably linked. The manager has decided that selling Cisse would enable him to buy players with more potential to help us win trophies (mainly the one we all want). Its a commercial decision, but the reasons behind it are not so the club can get a bit money to put in the directors pockets. Its all the same thing.

Does YNWA have a resident doctor? Better get him on this thread to correct all the conjecture. Both were minimal contact which is why it I am not sure its to do with his bones being weak or anything like that. If he'd been kicked in the leg twice and broke his leg twice, I guess that would be logical. From what I've seen both times his foot has got trapped under itself and sent his leg into a strange position that would break anyones leg.

If bones are forced to move the wrong way they are inclined to break. I think the issue is probably to do with the way he runs/goes to ground - on both occasions his foot seemed to get trapped under him in a really awkward way
  12. On BBC via the net I think
  13. What you're saying is probably nonsense, either way its not something that's worth talking about, and it doesn't become worth talking about it through repetition.

"Now Benitez must re-assess his options, and may even have to re-consider the futures of other saleable assets to ensure he's not frustrated with his summer re-building plans." Probably just complete speculation from Bascombe, but who might this be. Garcia is the obvious one, Kewell maybe. Pongolle might have been going anyway I suppose, but if not he's another.
  16. Have a look in the Cisse thread Kuyt, Bellamy and Alves would do for me. Thats about £25M in fees I guess.
  17. Ferdinand Dropped Don't get too excited - just trying to prove he hasn't always been ace for England, and that he hasn't always been in possession of the shirt in recent times.
  18. disinterested and apathetic about England. I find it difficult to start cheering for players I despise. I also hate all the hoopla that surrounds the England team & can't stand the great escape theme tune playing numpties that go watch them. Euro 96 is to blame for all the flags, daft novelty songs, and people called Tarquin following football. England's a southern thing.
  19. I think if you adapt the question for our players to be "we win the league the following season but you miss it" the choice might be tougher.
  20. By the same token, when Ferdinand was gash and dropped by Sven recently (was it for the Northern Ireland game or a friendly - don't remember) Carra should have been given a fair go at CH and Ferdinand should have had to work to get the shirt back. That didn't happen, dropped him for one match (presumably because he was pants in an England game - don't rem, ember which one) and then put him straight back in. It wasn't on club form as Carra has been better.

  23. As would any number of inanimate objects. Doesn't mean we should play a hat stand up front.
  24. Neither would be a better alternative than either.
  25. Too many Heskey hints in here!
