Yes. Worked with him many years ago. Blue through and through. They nearly all were in the Echo/Post office back then, including some who covered Liverpool full time.

Really interesting stuff that explains why he was never quite as good as we all felt he could be. He comes out of this with a lot of credit (and his judgement of our managers seems spot on).

In the circumstances of our season, Origi's injury has totally nullified the pleasure of winning the derby for me. One-nil and no injury would have been just fine.

. Great feeling. I found myself looking for City, Arsenal and (to a lesser extent!) United's results. Says something about what's happened to our collective outlook. -
What recall! My only memory of that game is being asked if I were German by a scall outside the Hamlet, because I was wearing a fashionably Joy Division-esque trench coat. If I were asked now I would simply smile and say 'Ja'. Sorry for Gomez if this is right. England matches!!
