I agree with them, we played a half decent team, but not a great one, if we were fifth and 'needed' the points we would have fielded a stronger team. I think Rafa knew the rules about 'strongest' teams so he played first team squad players rather than even less experienced ones like he did v Portsmouth who are not playing for anything. Warnock is still c*nt though.

I think it was harder years ago (42 league games and replays all the time) TBH, travelling to Eastern Europe, Tblisi etc was harder, no chartered flights and people pampering you all the time. Players have it simple in my view, they are paid heaps of money and everything is done for them. They should all be able to play 2 games every week.

I agree with Romario, and I am certain the fact we are not playing THEM we can all enjoy it much more, and having won it 2 years ago if we do lose we wont be completely distraught. Losing to Milan is tolerable, losing to Chelsea and even more so to THEM was what was worrying us all.

Its a shame we aren't playing teams with no worries, as we can't rest too many can we? I hope he gets an hour out of all the first team in total over the next two games, motivation must be hard, we have got into top 4 and in the final, hopefully they don't relax too much mentally as it will be tough to start the final switched on. Don't fancy going 1-0 down in the first min again.

People say we practise them a lot, but I think it just as much the mental strength of our players, for which credit (over a number of years) must go to the club for getting the right players when pressure is on. But , we have missed a fair few in 'normal' time.

Due to the fact I wasn't going to waste pecious sleep (after the previous night) I didn't get up to watch the Manc game. A month ago, they were (according to the press) by far the best in Europe after beating Roma 7-1, now Milan beat them. I am less worried by Milan than I would have Man Utd, and I can take defeat v Milan easier if it happens. But were Milan very good, or the Mancs bad? Hopefully a mixture of the 2.

They are/were going on about Liverpool fans on the whole being a horrible bunch, with a LARGE minority causing trouble!!! We allegedly threw loads at them at Stamford Bridge and OT in the semi last year.
