What amazed me was no Dudek on the bench, was he injured - apologies if covered elsewhere? Yes he has been uselss this season, but had Reina got injured/sent off it was a big match to bring someone in for their debut.

I had heard Harry wasn't in the squad submitted to UEFA to play (from unreliable forum posters!!!), however Rafa says he is - and he should know.

I have thought all along we would lose the first leg 1-0 and the second 2-0, I hope that I am wrong!!! I just hope that if we do go out, however badly we play, people on here keep perspective. Think how many other clubs would even like to be in a massive CL semi final!!!

I think he was playing (well) when we were winning regularly and not conceding, he wasn't the reason, but was part of the reason.

Last season Elisha mentioned Harry was struggling even though he played all those games, he has paid big time for playing through the pain barrier last season. He wanted to play in the WC and did all he could to do that, I am usually anti players putting country first but with Aus not usually in the WC I can understand why he did it. He played (well) there, scored an important goal and sadly his body then gave way and he has been out almost a year.

When our team of Owen, Carra and I think Gerrard won the youth cup did we know then what great players they would be? I think Owen was known to be top class but what about the others? I am only asking as we seem to be unsure who, if any, will make it from this crop.

Anny, I usually agree with you and today is no different. I don't usually read the match threads but did today, I noticed most the posters are not regulars and most are doom and gloom merchants, is it always like that?

we all go on about needing 2 goals, remember 1-0 will get us to extra time, yes we need to stop them scoring but if we focus on playing our normal game a 1-0 win is easily within us, then Extra Time, and our 'freshness' will be an advantage. Thinking of only having to get 1 makes it seem more gettable.

think that most our team are sh*t. Harry, JAR, Momo, Gonzalez (sorry Will can't get the accent on my keyboard), Pennnant, Bellamy...... I am sure that there are more but if you were a neutral reading our forums you would think that we only had 2 or 3 half decent players. With 2 massive games coming up it would be nice to read positive posts about ALL our players!
