  1. Nothing wrong with him wanting to earn money but all the other players I have ever dealt with (In UK admittedly) came and spoke to fans for nothing. The email I got obviously went to all branches (not just overseas). If I remember correctly he has history for asking for payment for every interview he gives as well. Wen he came to NY how did you raise the money to get him over? And was it money well spent? I managed to get an interview with Ian Rush when he was in Aus a couple of years ago, he didn't charge for his time, his agent said he would but when he found out I was from an LFC branch he waived his fee.
  2. got this email yesterday. I haven't asked my club's members if they want him to come, we can't afford his fees to get him here!! Fellow REDS As your Supporters Club plans for the exciting run in to the end of the season, I ask you to think about hosting one of Liverpool's true legends - Phil Neal, for a special event. Phil has already visited (or has plans to visit) with the following Supporters Clubs: Canada, USA, Ghana, Sweden, Northern Ireland Phil offers a great talk about his time at English football's most successful team of all time and he will offer answers to your most burning questions about players, manager's and the general feeling around the club, both then and now. The structure of the event is open to your clubs specific needs and desires and Phil will work with you to make the event a success - use your event as a fundraiser for you club or just a chance to get your membership together for a social evening - whatever you want. Phil would require his travel and accommodation costs covered, plus an appearance fee which can be negotiated on an individual basis. As I am sure you know, most of the former players from Phil's generation, while paid handsomely for the time, pale in comparison to today's earners (some making less in five years than the current players make in a week) - this is why the former players are making themselves available for after dinner talks, golf tournaments, etc. And who better, than Bob Paisley's first signing - Phil Neal - the most decorated English footballer of all time - including four European Cup medals. If hosting Phil is something that interests you and your club, please get back to me, Andrew Cashin - shankly@gmail.com You'll Never Walk Alone, Andrew
  3. It's expensive if you usually buy crap and want to replace after 2/3 washes. If you like quality items it's a good price. I have sold over 100 pieces of LFC clothing and not one person has complained about quality and/or value for money.
  4. Guardian has a different stance as to how close the move is. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,1992967,00.html
  5. I am wondering how much Neill realised maybe we didn't really want him, we obviously did but perhaps Rafa has found someone else....the murky world of transfers!
  6. Why would Neil go to West Ham and not stay at Blackburn (who want him)?
  7. I cant F**cking win, maybe I should pretend to be a Kiwi.....
  8. at least we won the Ashes then!!
  9. I live in Aus and sell UK football stuff to people in Aus as my business.
  10. I am not an Aussie
  11. Chelsea have upgraded their shop recently, and don't charge VAT to Australians. I have asked many other clubs why they charge VAT to Aus and they said we just do...I hate to say this but well done CFC on that one.

  13. Also the fact is if Rafa wants someone and the deal is so close but not completed Parry/Moores may go and get the player in the belief that the money will come through. We are not like Chlesea were (About to be closed down) before Roman came in, we have money to spend if we really really want to. Having said all that, one of my new suppliers said last week he can't open an account with me just now as LFC have stopped all licensees opening new accounts with all the takeover talk. So it is possible we are not allowed to spend any money at all. Who knows? Nobody on here I'm sure!!
  14. I think if DIC and LFC know the deal is going to go through and Rafa really wants someone money will be there.

  16. 'The kit is our major line. Most of our loyal OOTer fanbase will never even have seen an LFC poloshirt. Comparitively we run by the rules of a corner shop.' FYDS, Most have seen the poloshirt etc but on the www not in the flesh, but the postage is ridiculous if you are outside of UK/Europe. I think (when I last looked) M&S charge 15 pounds for a plain polo whereas ours are 17.99 which includes embroidery. LFC made (IMO) a mistake with Granada when they let Granada have complete control of on-line sales making it ilegal for anyone else to sell our stuff on the web, therefore costing the club huge amounts in possible sales from overseas customers. Hopefully when DIC buy the 9.9% Granada own, this will all be re-looked at again. We need to be like other clubs and let as many reputable (like me ) people sell our stuff. There are ways round the on-line sales but it makes selling stuff hard work.
  17. Exactly. I deal with LFC products (And other clubs) I can assure you ours is better quality and better priced than most other Premier League clubs. The most over priced items, the kits!!! But we don't set the pricing for ADIDAS stuff.
  18. Sadly there is no real law of averages.
  19. Where does that peoples club thing come from?
  20. That's a good one. It all started with that pic of SG in an EFC shirt.
  21. The fact we are both in Aus I cant use that one, the others I can, esp the shop. keep em coming cheers !!!!
  22. I am on an Aus forum for expats and some bluenose is saying Liverpool has more Blues than Reds.... Is there written proof I can shove up his ar*e? This is what he says "I wasnt jokin. Its not a myth that most of the people in the merseyside area are blues. As our own Moysey said "The people on the streets of Liverpool support Everton" and he werent wrong."
  23. If anyone can put the relevant parts on youtube etc or tell me if/where they may be on the bbc site i would like to watch. No rush, have work to do now before watching (on TV) England finally win a game of cricket
