Shearer pointed that out about Pennant on MOTD after the Birmingham game. He showed five or six examples of how Pennant's off the ball running was denying us more of a threat on goal. Basically when the ball was on the left wing he wasn't breaking into the box on the right.

No of course not. Subsequent editors have had the option to say "sorry, we lied", because they are still representative of the same paper, but they have chosen to do it in a half arsed way, or in the case of the previous "effort" by having a thinly veiled swipe at The Mirror. The fact that The S*n is a rubbish newspaper with dubious ethics and gutter reporting is not the issue except in relation to it's reporting on Hillsborough and it's subsequent failure to retract the lies of the previous editorial regime.

Isn't the whole reason for the boycott because of the "The Truth". The buck stops at The Editor for that, so what's the point in boycotting a paper with a whole other editorial team. Yeah The S*n and NOTW are owned by the same parent company, but they didn't run the lies and they probably don't have editorial control over what is printed every day.
