We have all spoken about not letting Gerrard go for any money, even XAbi Alonso these days days would not be sold for under 30m in most fans eyes. But what about Momo (Da Beast) Sissoko? Would you let him leave for 25m if it was offered to us at the end of the season? I have seen Diarra, i have seen Essien, Momo is better then both at the DM position. The only thing that he is need of fixing (improving all the time though) is his passing. He is the Cheapest midfielder that we have (starting lineup). He is probably on no more then 15k a week. He absolutely murdered a world class midfield yesterday that included 3 of the biggest names in Europe. But would you let him leave? What amount would you accept? Be honest and try being realistic.

LOL Big STuff I must say that i always thought bellamy was a good little player, but like most i could not stand him. Now though i am begining to understand why Newcastle fans loved him, he will be a kop Idol in no time like MOmo and Crouch last year.

So that article about Kuyt is BS?? I found it weird when i read it, because so many feyenord fans were saying that Kuyt and Kuyts dying father wanted him to play for Liverpool before he dies?

That ball he gave into the box was f***ing brilliant. A couple of crosses he did were fantastic also. Give him 6 months to adapt before we can really pass judgement, because he looks like one of those players that need a settling down period, unlike MOMO!!! WHAT A f***ING BEAST!!

haha Red, you must be from Aus like me. I actually checked the starting linup on .tv at 11.30pm so i had time to prepare myself. But i must say i had no problems with the linup, other than Zenden starting which i could not work out, but i must admit he was f***ing fantastic. He was abismal againts HAifia, but you kinda understand now why Chelsea let him leave for free, he only played on the wing for them.

I think Rafa's ambition to challenge himself will one day see him leaving us. Wether tahts in 4/6/8 years, it will happen. He will either end up leaving us for Real, or my theory, leading spain to there first world cup win? Could you imagine what Rafa would do with the lineup that spain had at the world cup? PLEASE!!

Elisha you, i and everybody else knows here that we all love Stevie, and deep down would not give him up or anything or anyone. I think the problem is that peoples expectations of him as a player and person (true blue scouser) builds this sort of aura about him that from time to time gets knocked about because of some of his words and actions (Chelsea saga, Cardiff goal, etc) Anyway for me personally i dont think that the NOTW is stepping over the line, but i am not from Liverpool (from Australia) so i can never fully understand the true feelings of most of our supporters towards these papers owned by the pricks involved with the scum paper s*n. With regards to Gerrards Mrs and Mum getting abused, do you really think he should judge all of us because of some f***ing morons? You get them everywhere in all forms of life, they do not represent the club as a whole. P.S what you doing up still bro? its like 2am or something in the UK isnt it?

If that is the case, then Adriano would not be Rafa's type of player either. The f***** is almost worse than Ronaldo when it comes to running without the bal!!

I have always been a fan of Riise, but even i would let him go for silly money ( 12m). Ill be honest with you guys, i would even let Finnan go for 8m if we could get it, but that is mainly due to the fact that he is almost 30? I would not however let Riise go for under 10 million, mainly due to the fact that he always give 100% for the shirt, is liked by his team mates, and is always one of the top 6-8 players for the season. P.S Dont forget he averages 5 goals a season for us too, from left back!!

If we sign Kuyt, then you will see him playing up front with Bellers. Play Gerrard and Alonso in the middle and get Pennant and Speedy to attack from the wings. This would be our most attacking and dangerous lineup (potentially). However the use of Crouch in some games and the 3 big CM'ders playing together with Gerrard on the right will certainly give us options and other managers headaches.

I didnt even feel that Momo's yellow was a foul. My fav moment of the game though was towards the end of the first half when Momo clattered that guy in the midfield (made him spin in the air) and won the ball so cleanly even the Macabi fans went OOWIII.

I have to say that i noticed our lack of numbers in the box (at vital moments) since mid season last year. Even for corners some times, i find it odd that we do not seem to be putting enough pressure on the defence or keeper. Last night Pennant had the ball on the right a number of times in both the first and second half. Zenden did not attack the back post, Gerrard did not run in for the header, and Bellamy was left to attack high balls that were drifted over his head. Even in the second half when we needed a second goal, it wasnt until Gonzalez and Garcia came on that we actually had people supporting our striker (Crouch) in the box. One of the main reasons we seem to struggle at killing of teams is not committing enough players in the middle. I just cant understand why atleast 2 more players can get into the box at the right time when a vital cross comes into the box?

The new shirts looked ausome on the team today, i really really f***ing liked em!

I actually think that Kewell will come back from injury and make the LW position his own this year with the new competition forcing him to work even harder. He was one of our best players last year and i can see him getting better from last year before getting worse.

P.S I thought Zenden was a waste of space.

Momo was fanstastic, along with Pennant and Finnan i thought. Garcia did really well when he came on (gave us something different through the middle) and Gonzalez took his only chance well. I have to say though that i do wish Momo would cut his passing errors out of his game. He was ausome today, and the only thing that let him down was his passes. Hopefully he will improve another 5%-10% in that region of his game like he did last year.

Rafa has stated a few times that we have till the end of August to sign another striker? MarkD's story kinda seems plausible because if we qualify for the CL, Kuyt does not play in Euro games, then logically we should sign him just after the second leg?

I agree with Leo that if a player/s is going to be something special, he should atleast be able to get 10-20 games for the year at 18. Some players do get beter when they are older though, so maybe i am being harsh, but hey we live in a harsh world people and a club with high standards. If you want an example of a good young player, just look at Momo. He made more of an impression then the hopes and dreams that people had in Welsh, still claiming he was the next gerrard when he was 22 and played a handful of games since 18.

Dudek would be a good signing for City. He would save more games, and f***up less then James ever would for them. I think Pompey are mad for not trying to sign Dudek on atleast a couple of years. Even the teams that have just been promoted aren't even looking at him. The only conclusion i can come up with is that Dudek must be on hell of alot of wages for a keeper....
