Clubcall understands that Liverpool are in talks with Fulham midfielder Steed Malbranque over a proposed summer move to Anfield. The 26-year-old playmaker has only 12 months remaining on his current deal and it is believed Fulham are reluctantly ready to listen to offers for the player. Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has been tracking the Belgian born star for over a year and could test Fulham's resolve with a bid in the region of £3.5million. Malbranque has been one of Fulham's most influential players since his transfer from Lyon in 2001, and his free scoring exploits from midfield have netted him 31 goals from 169 appearances. However, Liverpool will face stiff competition for the player's signature as Manchester City are also keen on the schemer.

I actually think someone like that up front, with a player like Kuyt that can hold up the ball and actually play the offside line, would be an ideal partnership. Football has changed, and ever we never played with 2 out and out strikers in the 70s and 80s Aimar would our the new answer to King Kenny, similar role.

I tend to agree with Maldini. Aimar is the type of player who can play as a second striker, drop deep to recieve the ball and put in a killer 10-15 yard pass that would leave teams, favns, pundits and team mates all baffled. Gerrard and Alonso are the only two players that come near to Aimar from our team in that aspect, Garcia cannot pass 2 meters in from of himself, let alone 15-20

The first thing i noticed from that article is McParland's work ethic. I think this club is going in the right direction with every interview i read from the backroom staff. Rafa is really building something special at this club, and i beleive more so with every month, that we are improving and will keep on improving as we go under the great spaniard.

They only thing i can really think of, if the Sociedad rumors are true, is that maybe we are bringing in someone like Luisao?

Kuyt and Crouch would work Ten times better then Mori and Crouch, and if i remember correctly Mori and Crouch started a number of games together, so Rafa would not be afraid of playing the other two up front now will he?

Crouch will be better next year. You guys are forgetting taht he didnt score a goal for his first 20 something games. He does not have any pressure next year from the crowd or media, however if better strikers are brought in, i feel it will push Crouch into adding more goals to what he has already been doing well. Crouch will start, who starts next to him is the big question

What if harry played most games next season like the Chelsea one in the FA cup semi? Harry is at the point of re-gaining his full fitness and full form. I am not entirely sure we should sell him just yet. He is only 27 and in his prime almost. I think we should hold onto him for a couple of seasons more, at least?

Can i be open with some things? I dont think i like the fact that our best lineup wont be playing more then 40 games a year together, based on some peoples lineups and ideas on rotation. dont people think that we should play our best lineup as often as possible?
