I beleive Kuyt is the main target for this season because he displays everything that a striker needs to suit Rafa's requirements. You guys seem to love Momo for the energy he displays on the pitch, well Kuyt is no different, he does not stop running and closing down (more so then crouch). The best thing about kuyt is that he can be selfish and unselfish. He will play out of position if need be (just ask Van Basten) and he is a really liked player not only by the fans, but also by his team mates, coach and fellow peers. He aparently could have come to us last summer but for the fee. This year i think he will make the change, and he will be replacing Morientes. If i had to put him in a nutshell, i would say he is a very similar player to Shearer but not as good finishing (not many players are) but he works harder on the pitch, and is physically stroner.

I personally think the comparision is easy. a) Both have talent b) SWP relies more on speed and strength c) Pennant relys more and has better technical ability d) SWP will score more goals e) Pennant will set up more goals f) Pennant is more of a bargain g) SWP has a better attitude I personally think that we will have the quality of beating men, and crossing on the left with Gonzalez next year, from what i have seen of him. Pennat would probably be the better buy because it will give us money to spend on a top quality striker, which is what we REALLY need. If we get Pennant, he would not mind sitting on the bench when Stevie plays there. We seem to have a better baland with Xabi and Momo in the middle and Stevie on the right. not many teams in europe will beat us with those 3 playing, so why break it up?

I think with a great pre-season, a good world cup, we will see Harry even closer to his best next year. He may never play the way he did for leeds, or ever for us in the first 6 months, but i can see him playing better then he did this year. Harry can play up front of course as mentioned above, but he has one thing that Luis dont, Pace.

i think he was better when he was younger Maldini. Once the defences worked out how to counter his pace (main attribute) he just a passenger these days where his flaws stand out alot like our Cisse.

ill tell you what. If we get the same tally as this year, and just pinch 3 points at home againts United and Chelsea, then we are alread close to winning the game. people dont realise that 2 games lost to chelsea this year is a 12 point difference in essence.

I think we should just forget the whole striker thing and play Gerrard up front. The guy can find the net, has a pace, and has linked up with Crouch so many times this year i lost count. Obviously we still need 1 more good striker, but with Pennant maybe comming in (or another good winger) we can afford to move gerrard back in the middle, but move him in a more advanced position.

I just finished reading that off the same site and was about to make a thread. I know its on the most dodgy site there is, but all of it actually seems realistic. I mean all the targets listed (besides missing Pennant) are in our grasp, and Huntelaar would be a f***ing special signing if we could pull it off. All the players he says we are not signing seems true too. Anyone else see anything in this?

Paul not always been full of praise when it comes to LFC, like most fans he complained in his articles about the direction that Liverpool were going, and he wasn't afraid to point out Gerrards failings as a player, person and most importantly a captain. The fact that Paul has been praising the s*** out of us so much lately has more to do with the fact that all is well at the moment, and the people that watch the Reds the most know it. Paul is just our voice, and almost everything he has written in the past has been something i was thinking or was going to write in a thread.

I think he has done well, but lets not get to carried away. I also think that he will actually be better next year, when our team learn to use him better, and he settles ever more so into the team.
