Had one chance from a freakishly good Konate through ball, never looked like scoring, and then did nothing the rest of the game. I am sure he'll come good, but he should not be starting ahead of Ekitike.

It doesn't detract one bit from the fact that he's an absolute legend, and one of our greatest ever players, but he's completely stinking the place up at the moment, and should not be starting. Isak isn't too far behind him (and when 2 out of our front 3 are doing nothing defensively or in attack, it's problematic).

Had a decent game for Germany tonight, and could/should have had an assist, but their striker missed a one on one chance. Some really good passing again, but also was knocked off the ball a bit too easily a couple times. I'm still confident he's going to be fantastic.

XG is such a weird metric, that I'm still not entirely convinced it's not just randomly generated. BBC had the Chelsea match at 0.88 for them and 1.93 for us. I know their first goal was probably a 0.05 XG, but Fernandes headed wide from 4 yards out when it looked easier to hit the target, and they seemed to have more chances aside from that, so the 0.88 is very odd. The almost 2 goals for us looks right though. Salah, Szoboszlai and Isak all should have done far better with the chances they got.

Yeah, I was glad that he wasn't starting. And I guess even a stopped clock is right twice a day when it comes to Chelsea buying everyone, but it's annoying Chelsea got him for so little. Read this morning he currently has the best chance creation per minutes played in the league.

BBC have an interview with him (here) which is semi interesting. But the most interesting thing, is that we seem to have signed a player who had no legs when he was a kid. Didn't expect that (he's back row, in the middle. The kid with no legs).
