  1. The vid above is interesting, and interesting how clear it is to many fans that City are the primary beneficiaries...But I don't even get what an investigation could achieve. It's not like there's gonna be any paper trail, or refs saying "yeah, I hate xyz club so give all the decisions against them...." This is another good discussion on it all, particularly how the media just let the refs get away with it all. Any new body/group that actually rates and holds the refs accountable would need to be made up of the right people (not ex refs, ex policemen etc...) prob would need to be ex players. But I still can't see it happening.

  3. Also hit the post, and looked like he set up one of the goals, (but BBC doesn't credit him with an assist)

  5. End result is the same but the distinction is that flying him over there and paying him lots of unnecessary money creates a sense of obligation but is obviously very different from the literal handing over of an envelope of cash. It's similar to how lobbying is legal bribery. This is what's happened to Oliver.
  6. Yeah - was Oliver that got paid twenty grand or so to officiate a friendly and paid by City's owners. And that's where it doesn't have to be as clear as "here's a load of money, please make sure to give City all the key decisions..." it's more just that the payment establishes some un-spoken we'll you scratch our back, you scratch ours type thing, and Oliver has obliged. That IG clip is absolutely damning, and it doesn't even include all of Oliver's misdeeds.
  7. There was another piece about 2 months ago suggesting it would happen in mid October, so I won't be holding my breath... Almost. Think it was Dec or early Jan when they wrapped up.
  8. Yep - it's these two things above, because he hasn't played great, and still needs to do a lot more, but with a little help from his teammates, he really should be on 3 goals and 5 or 6 assists, which would have taken the pressure off him massively. The ones where Mo didn't do the high % thing and pass it, are a real shame.
  9. Yeah, it's amazing they've been allowed to become this entity in the game that is so much about themselves, and their weird cult-like matey-ness and self preservation. And they're just getting worse. They really do take a load of joy out of the game. f***ers.
  10. They're egotistical and detached from reality enough to believe that the contortions they make about this stuff actually makes sense.
  11. Given how much time they spend on some decisions (when they obviously want to look at all possible reasons to allow /disallow a goal) , it is absolutely stunning how quickly Oliver decides that the weirdly delayed on field decision was correct. It's like he absolutely wanted to make sure they couldn't show any angle that might mean the decision should be overruled. I think most of the refs are just terrible at their job, but with Oliver, the decisions against us and in favour of City, really does look more like corruption.
  12. Audio released: Haha. This makes it even worse - it's dodgy as f*** that he doesn't even wait to see the 2 angles that show Robbo wasn't in the line of vision - he's just desperate to say - yep, it's offside... And why do they have to yell like they're all coked up? Maybe they are.

  15. No. He's England's top ref. And it all balances out in the end. For every terrible decision he gives against us, he gives a terrible one in Man City's favour.
  16. They already came out and explained why the decision was right (and did so at HT) so they won't backtrack now, even if 9/10 people in the game know that the decision was BS.
  17. I fully expected them to review the footage, see that there's a couple angles that clearly show Robertson wasn't in the line of sight, and allow the goal. The speed at which they made all the VAR decisions (together with lino seemingly taking 13 seconds before putting his flag up in the first place) is really odd. That's the other messed up thing with VAR - I know not all decisions are equal and some are more straightforward than others, sometimes they spend 2 minutes trying to find a way to disallow a goal, and other times they take 15 seconds, because they've already made their mind up, and they're just going through the motions.

  19. It's also hard to keep up the league winning level we were at for 2 seasons running - the cheats at City are the only ones that have managed this since Ferguson left the Mancs. And Jota's death has contributed too. But our drop off this season has been far worse than any of us could have feared. Plus we're not fun to watch, we're just all over the place and painfully bad in most games.
  20. Think this is one of the most damning things about it all. We've broken the British transfer record twice in the summer, and seemingly have no idea how to use these new players and not make our best player a hindrance rather than a help.

  23. He was also ref for the Doku kick on Mac Allister's chest. Funny how City have had goals allowed when players really are in front of keeper and blocking view (think it was vs Fulham and Wolves). Our goal being disallowed today - and so quickly - was almost as disgraceful as our performance.
  24. It would be more fun to watch than watching us, so I'm all for it. Let me know if I can help set this up.
  25. Think he just had nothing left in the tank today.
