  1. I don’t think we need to worry about the defeat, so we may as well just get on with it.
  2. Yeah I’m absolutely past the point of accepting mitigation for what’s happening on the pitch. The unfit players, the under-utilisation of the squad, the inability to play till the final whistle, the lack of shape and tactical identity, the mad subs, it goes on. We had them yesterday and we completely bottled it. We’re nearly at 12 months of average performances. I feel for him on a human level but it simply cannot go on.
  3. Yep. It’s an uphill struggle between now and May.
  4. We’re four points off 5th, currently. Sunderland away will be very tricky but there are some winnable fixtures after that. Need to put a run together somewhere, somehow.
  5. Complete waste of a great atmosphere today. We were shambolic after we scored. Hugo could barely run before that, any legs in that position would have been better. Mo and Gakpo absolutely brutal again but only two of the massive set of problems with this Liverpool team.

  7. Unai Emery is able to choose what he discloses when answering questions and he chose to say that Liverpool Football Club are the entity standing in the way of Harvey Elliott playing more football at Aston Villa, which just isn’t true. Press conferences are the primary forum for things like this to become public knowledge. In this case to apply pressure. They made a deal, it doesn’t suit them anymore and poor old Harvey Elliott is the one suffering.
  8. They’re A: reneging on a deal they willingly made and B: attempting to publicly shame the club into accepting that. It is fine to ask, I’m sure they have privately and now, because of mounting injury problems and criticism of their treatment of the player, they’re doing it publicly, which is a c*nt’s trick.

  10. Average points for 5th is 67, I think, so we realistically need to win 9 of the remaining 14 games. 2 points per game. Dropping points against anyone around us will be a big problem and we need to go away to United, Everton and Villa. Winning the remaining home games would give us 7 wins and 60 points. Doing that would really help to take the pressure off those aways.
  11. What philosophical web have you tangled yourself up in now?
  12. Exactly, it’s nonsense. PR guff to deflect how badly Villa have managed this situation.
  13. The deal was put in place so they could afford the player. Emery decided he didn’t want the player but now he’s panicking because they suddenly have injuries and need bodies. Blaming us for giving them a path to buy without a large upfront cost is pretty outrageous.

  16. Just read that. What a c*nt.
  17. Here he is, with his overly positive assessment of a Liverpool signing.
  18. Aye. Good shot stopper but not very commanding or quick off his line. Guess some of that can be coached.

  20. Torres was brilliant, but left like a c*nt so f*ck him.
