For those who are struggling take just 10 seconds to imagine if we'd have been playing the Mancs. Should make you feel a bit better.
  2. Got to be Sky. Turn the commentary off for the game and listen to Thommo in the studio ruin anyone who attempts to discredit us.
  3. I reckon thats spin. Obvious alternative now would be to play Riise left with Arbeloa LB. Reckon Kewell will start though and was always going to after Charlton
  4. What like Crouch for Bellamy at Stamford Bridge?
  5. If anyone's off i'd imagine it would be Sissoko
  6. He's just had a thinly veiled pop at Rafa for rotation now against Fulham - so did Mourinho. What a couple of n*heads.
  7. It wouldn't surprise me if he's been misquoted in parts to get a headline as there are some disrespectful comments in there. Just more fuel to the fire for our boys when we take to the pitch. The media, together with various Milan players, coaching staff and other figures in the game have have done a great job of catapulting Milan as clear favourites now. Just how we like it the arrogant b*stards.
  8. Wonder if we could get Carson back if the worst comes to the worst.
  9. RAFAEL BENITEZ has left the door open for Harry Kewell to make a late bid for a Champions League final berth ? as semi-final hero Pepe Reina suffered an injury scare. The goalkeeper, who saved two spot-kicks during the dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea at Anfield in midweek, will undergo a scan to discover the extent of the shoulder injury he suffered on Saturday at Fulham. Liverpool will be hoping that the blow he suffered when collecting a cross in the first half while under pressure from Brian McBride will not result in any lasting damage to threaten his participation in the final in Athens on May 23. He finished the game, but was in some discomfort. Meanwhile, Kewell made his long-awaited comeback for Liverpool as a 77th-minute substitute in the disappointing 1-0 defeat at Craven Cottage. It was the 28-year-old?s first appearance for the Anfield outfit since limping out of last season?s FA Cup victory over West Ham in Cardiff ? the second successive year injury had curtailed his involvement in a final. The number seven, who departed the Ataturk pitch to a chorus of boos from his own fans in 2005, was not expected to play again this term after undergoing a series of operations on his troublesome groin. But Benitez has now challenged the Australian to prove his fitness and influence the Spaniard?s plans ahead of the May 23 showpiece in Sunday?s home clash with Charlton. ?It was possible for me to see Harry play again, we will see if he can feature in the rest of the season and maybe he will have a chance of playing in the final,? said the Spanish boss after Clint Dempsey?s 69th-minute strike condemned his men to a second successive league defeat. ?If he plays well this week in training and next weekend, Harry has a chance of playing. He has time. ?We need to test him. Physically, he really needs to play, he needs to tackle, to sprint and come back. It is too soon to say whether he will start. ?He might start next Sunday but it depends on how he trains in the week.? Kewell was not the only Liverpool player to have his 2005 European Cup final cut short by injury. Former Fulham defender Steve Finnan, who received a warm welcome from the home fans when he replaced Emiliano Insua on 75 minutes at Craven Cottage, was substituted at half-time in the Ataturk with a leg strain. Finnan believes the return of Kewell will give Benitez?s men a timely boost ahead of their Athens date with AC Milan. ?I don?t know whether Harry expected to play again this season but it is good that he came on and managed to get some minutes,? he said. ?It?s great because he?s been out a long time, so it is like having a new player. He might play his part in the final. ?It has been a difficult season for him with operations so I just think he has been trying to recover. ?Probably the main objective for him is to get ready for pre-season and get fit for the new season and if he can play a few games then all well and good. ?He gives us a balance on the left-hand side so it gives us competition. He can play on the right and up front.? Momo Sissoko will also undergo a scan after suffering a knock to his knee.
  10. AIG - Almost in Greece
  11. This definitely feels better than 2 years ago which has shocked me. I think the difference between now and two years ago is that I was too nervous last time. Thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity particularly with the team we had and it felt like we'd only have one crack at it with that squad. It was a bit surreal, which was summed up by the final itself. Now its becoming apparent that with Rafa in charge we can expect to compete at the very top, in Europe for now, year on year. Our expectations are finally being met. I remember the morning after the parade suffering an ineviatble low, wondering if i'd ever feel a natural high like the previous 24hrs again in my life. Well I'm gonna enjoy and savour every moment from here on in from this one even more.
  12. Or not so secret!
  13. We're capable of beating them if we play well. We'll be fitter and they've got a sh*te keeper. All this talk of revenge plays into our hands - just look at Chelsea for that. 2-1 to the reds.
  14. with Reina was MOM on the biggest stage. The biggest compliment that can be made to him is Rafa dropping Alonso. Can't remember him ever doing that for a big game. Once again he got it spot on. He's f*ckin ace.
  15. Same here, i keep supressing the glory thoughts with more rational/negative ones. If i spend too much time thinking about it i'll lose my mind.
  16. Exactly. He's bound to get injured again just as the transfer window opens. Cut our losses with this one.....again.
  17. I'm calm.....only because i've convinced myself we're out. Got an awful feeling we'll go 2 up squander chances and they'll get a late one to send us out, probably that little wa*nker Cole.
  18. Can't see Robben coming on unless they are on the brink of going out.
  19. No he hasn't. As much as Crouch has done well this season, and its mainly been the 2nd half of the season, Berbatov is a step up in class. You can see that with every game Berbatov plays.
  20. My point exactly. They want it both ways.
  21. He's more than capable of playing further up the field, beating players and whipping a good cross in. He's done it for City on a few occasions. Granted he wouldn't be bought to play predominantly RM as Alves might but he could capably fill in imo. Alves will be about £18M-£20M I'd imagine Richards £12M ish. Add to that his versatility at CB i reckon he'd be a good buy,
  22. Hope so. Affordable version of Alves, if still a bit raw. Would be a gamble if its over £10M but we've got the dosh to be able to do that now.
  23. Berbatov has shown today again how good he is. Don't think we could afford him now as he'd be a daft price esp if Chelsea get involved. I wouldn't mind Tevez.
  24. Whats wrong? That i know a load of mancs who did it? It's actually correct. I didn't say all FC Utd supporters did it.
  25. My point is i know a load of mancs who jumped on the bandwagon with FC Utd but then it didn't take long to go back to Old Trafford when they realised that the Glazers hadn't compromised your chance of success.
