  1. He did have a couple of 'howlers' by his standards to be honest. His passing was dreadful in a couple of consecutive games - that was about it though.
  2. I agree Alonso had a few dodgy games in the first couple of months (along with the rest of the team), however in the games where we lied down he was the only one who stood out and made a fist of it - I'm thinking of Man Utd and Arsenal in particular. Since then he's stood out as our most influential player imo. Agger has been good without standing out for me apart from the odd game - along with Finnan. I suppose Dirk would be the closest to pushing Xabi for our top performer. Says a lot about our inconsistency really that no-one has been top drawer all season.
  3. Can't think of anyone who has had a better season for us than Alonso. Dropping him is b*llocks.

    Dudek

F*ckin piss take, please. Dudek had a shocker (again) but he "tried to do the right thing and failed" with his half arsed attempt at a dive. Get a grip.
  5. If one thing, this should serve as a reminder to people how much we struggle against the top teams. Loads of people coming up with scenario's lately about us taking points of the other big 3 in the league this season at home. Highly unlikely as per.
  6. Funny how its that right wing fascist publication as well. I wonder how many articles they've got on immigration today.

    We Are s***

    We f*ckin don't mate.
  9. Suggests it quite a lot in these paragraphs.....or maybe i've misunderstood?: I'm sick of going to matches and basically sitting amongst folks who are there to either watch or observe the a match / the team rather than support them. I'm sick of the fact that people are drawn to our club because of the legend of the Kop and as such people go to experience it not participate. I'm sick of the g******* c**** who find the breath to have a go at a player and not to sing their name or applaud. I'm sick of how quick we are to vocalise opinions on forums like these yet slow to vocalise at the game. It's not hard, I don't expect liverbird, scouser tommy to be known chapter and verse but for f***s sake you are in LIVERPOOL, YOU'VE BOUGHT A TICKET TO WATCH LIVERPOOL SO AT LEAST JOIN IN THE CHANTS SAYING 'LIVERPOOL'
  10. Absolute b*llocks I'm afraid, to say you should be expected to sing at the game. I do sing, but doesn't make you less of a fan if you don't. You sound self righteous.

    Pub on Sat

Don't want to go to the Arkles, are there any other pubs that would be ok with some away fans coming in? Cheers

    Fog

    18.15 now. F*ck.
  14. Is this single tier kop a defo? It f*ckin needs it. I think it looks a bit dated which is understandable as it was designed about 6-7 years ago. It needs changing imo
  15. From the Beeb: Liverpool have confirmed exclusive talks are taking place with Dubai International Capital (DIC) about a possible takeover of the club. DIC, the investment arm of Dubai's government, is thought to be nearing a buy-out of the club worth £450m. Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry said: "This is the latest step on the road of finding the long-term investment that the club needs." DIC chief executive Sameer al-Ansari said: "We hope we can agree a deal." Al-Ansari, whose firm has begun to examine the club accounts, added: "Liverpool's investment requirements are well publicised. "Hopefully this will provide us with the opportunity to fund its needs both on and off the pitch." The proposed deal is expected to include £200m to build a new 60,000-capacity stadium. Parry added: "This is very important in terms of the proposed new stadium, which is key to plans for the regeneration of the local community. "On the pitch, Liverpool remains focused on winning and, here again, this is all about doing a deal that gives us the long-term resources to do that." The due diligence process has begun, giving DIC exclusive rights to study the accounts of Liverpool with a view to finalising a deal. Liverpool chairman David Moores and chief executive Rick Parry stayed behind in Liverpool while the team flew to Istanbul for Tuesday's Champions League match against Galatasaray. However, the deal is not expected to be concluded until the new year. DIC owns the Madame Tussauds Group and the Travelodge hotel chain as well as one third of the London Eye. The company is an investment arm of Dubai Holding, which is owned by Dubai Crown Prince and United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Mohammed, whose family is internationally renowned for its running of the Godolphin horse racing stables, is the world's fifth richest man. Liverpool have been linked with other takeover bids in recent years. In 2005, American billionaire Robert Kraft - owner of the New England Patriots NFL team - was linked with a bid for the club. And in 2004 Thaksin Shinawatra, then Prime Minister of Thailand, made a high-profile bid to take control of the club. The takeover news will concern those worried about the number of Premiership clubs currently in the hands of foreign owners. Manchester United, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Portsmouth and Aston Villa have all gone through high-profile takeovers by foreign owners in recent years.
  16. Apparently the Daily Post is running a story about how he was speaking at a business dinner last night about his coverage of Hillsborough. Basically didn't regret it then , doesn't regret it now. C*nt.
  17. I agree. I think he should be playing in Alonso's position and vice versa, but who am i to question Rafa.
  18. Sissoko is 21 and still learning the game, with time to develop, but has already shown to be virtually irreplaceable in the team. Do you see Makelele opening up defences? Scoring goals? No, but i bet he'd fit your crtiteria. Did you say the same about Hamann? I've never known Alonso to go missing - quite the opposite. He's not a bottler, which is what you imply. In the big games this season, particularly away to Arsenal and Man Utd, he's been the only one who's shown any composure on the ball and battled for the team. He always makes himself available and rarely gives it away. Despite his shaky start to our season along with the rest of them, he came through his before he got injured. You're talking sh*te mate. He's not able to influence the team further up the field because of the shackles put on him by Rafa which is another subject.
  19. Dear God. Comments about Alonso and Sissoko particularly perplexing
  20. Can't think of any we deserved to win. Not one.
  21. Why were you saying we could still win the league on Monday then?
  22. b*llocks
  23. Rumours at the ground are worse than they are on here
  24. If only. Chelsea would never sell cheap to us the c*nts. In hindsight we should have saved the money spent on Pennant and together with CL qualification money from this season made a decent bid for SWP. It will be criminal if he goes to West Ham or City.
  25. Punching above their weight, in recent poor form, with an injury list worse than ours
