I've always thought than one out an out winger is all any team can afford. When you look at Man Utd with Giggs and Beckham you have a similar picture to that Arsenal One, including the proper striker (Ole or Cole) with a skillful 2nd striker (Sheringham, Cantona, Yorke). Keane and Scholes are a bit different to Alonso and Momo though.

I think we need to keep the back four as steady as possible, as with recent league successes. As a result, I'd play Warnock as left mid. That's where he started. Having just found Requiem, Clint Mansell, it's clear that his track is called Lux Aeterna. I've listened to it and although it's the same tune it's not the same version. It's nowhere near as dramatic. Can anyone expand on this supposed Kronos Quartet version? I've wanted this version of this track for ages. The compilation video claims it's Requiem Two Towers?!?!??!

Exactly. Can't believe people are questioning what he does in the 'final third'. Firstly, his primary role is to defend, which he does brilliantly. Second, he should offer width and support to the right side when appropriate. Third, like any player, he should keep possession of the ball when nothing else more promising is on, which he also does brilliantly. Jaysus, how many fullbacks score goals anyway? Finnan gets plenty of assists. Take him out and we'll miss him like we used to miss Didi.

I think there will be a new Bosman (sp) type rule to get rid of this soon. It's ludicrous. If he wants to leave and his club don't want him, what's the point in forcing him to stay? FIFA suck. Always have. Transfer windows are also ridiculous and serve no purpose.

The issue isn't Gerrard plays better in the middle, it's that Gerrard is now playing better full stop. He will go back to the right. Our strongest midfield will always be Kewell, Alonso, Momo and Gerrard, until such time when better players can be acquired.

He's our new centre back. Trust me Seriously though. We could do with his mobility at the back long term. It's gonna be tough for Rafa when Momo is back. Just isn't the space at the moment. Alonso and Momo will be swapped around from time to time I think. Alonso seems to benefit from the odd rest.
