You could argue that because we are not quick enough the opposition has time to get back and defend in numbers, hence not being able to break them down also. It's both IMO, and a quick skilful attacking midfielder would cure both problems. These players are of course hard to find though, hence the need for a more creative striker too, with pace.

If Owen does really want to join again, and if the £9m clause is true, and if Rafa wanted him, don't you think we'd have signed him by now? He's not coming IMO. I'm quite sure he feels he owes Newcastle at least another season, and I'm sure many in the North East are reminding him of this daily.
