Aside from his recent upturn in form, which has been unquestionably excellent, there's another thing he does which frustrates me & hasn't been mentioned much (that I've seen). Whenever he catches a cross or an opposition attack breaks down & he has the ball in his hands, he seems to stop & hang onto it forever, thus completely slowing everything down & killing any chance of a quick counter attack when, at times, it's looked a really good option. It's a small gripe but one facet to our game that could really hurt teams & gives us a great edge, is minimised by how slow he is to release the ball. It's probably a lack of confidence in his distribution/kicking, but it could do with some serious work. Several times I've seen the likes of Sturridge, Coutinho, Sterling etc racing upfield in this sort of situation, only for any advantage to die away because he's held the ball for a good 10 seconds. Needs to work on this.
