  1. http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=+30000000&From=EUR&To=GBP £22.1m. I said about £20m. Miles out.....
  2. Pjanic & Gerrard are different types of player. Pjanic wouldn't be a like-for-like replacement. And he has a €30m release clause - about £20m.
  3. The thing is, this kind of stuff does sadly happen and every club has it's minority of twunts. But, although I can't really prove it, you just know it's so much more prevalent and commonplace amongst that vile fan base. I wouldn't be surprised if as much as 25% or 30% of their match going support is along the same lines.
  4. Perhaps so but I'm a match going fan, home and away (including some abroad) and I've not seen that before.
  5. Chelsea fans on the Paris Metro, preventing a black guy from boarding a train, pushing him off when he squeezes on and then happily chanting "We're racist and that's the way we like it". What an abhorrent bunch they are. If ever a club going out of business would be delightful, it's them... http://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2015/feb/17/chelsea-fans-prevent-black-man-boarding-paris-metro-video
  6. That's a fairly horrific, looking at it now
  7. Arsenal will never have a better chance of beating the Mancs.
  8. Yep. Couldn't be arsed to argue but that ^^^^^ is spot on.
  9. The rules are ridiculous. Rooney's position means the keeper has to consider his presenc there. How can that not be interfering?
  10. Past experience says that Liverpool.no tend to be pretty on the ball.
  11. Yeah but if people are talking about what they 'want', surely it's Preston/Middlesbrough to put them out. Or somebody else. Why would you want to face the most difficult opponent, when it's conceivable that someone else could eliminate them?
  12. Never understand why people want (or pretend to want, if it's that) the hardest opposition available.
  13. Aside from his recent upturn in form, which has been unquestionably excellent, there's another thing he does which frustrates me & hasn't been mentioned much (that I've seen). Whenever he catches a cross or an opposition attack breaks down & he has the ball in his hands, he seems to stop & hang onto it forever, thus completely slowing everything down & killing any chance of a quick counter attack when, at times, it's looked a really good option. It's a small gripe but one facet to our game that could really hurt teams & gives us a great edge, is minimised by how slow he is to release the ball. It's probably a lack of confidence in his distribution/kicking, but it could do with some serious work. Several times I've seen the likes of Sturridge, Coutinho, Sterling etc racing upfield in this sort of situation, only for any advantage to die away because he's held the ball for a good 10 seconds. Needs to work on this.
  14. His finishing is light years ahead of anybody else in the squad. The technique for his goal today was out of this world.
  15. that'd be awesome. Draw made live in the Queen Vic by Dot Cotton and Well'ard.
  16. Hear what Murph is saying but I wouldn't trust Lovren today. Bring him in for the Uefa Cup games maybe.
  17. Balo & Sturridge both starting with Lallana.
  18. That's because they're training at Anfield prior to away games & whenever there's enough of a gap before home games. Trained at Anfield this morning so nothing to see at Melwood. I'd like to see the whole team doing that together in a line next time we score
  19. Just put a cap on how many players you can loan in & out per season. Something like 6. And ban loans between top flight domestic clubs.
  20. That's what happens when you start working for the bbc
  21. In ceiling order... From what I've seen personally: Sterling Coutinho Ibe Markovic From what I've read from people who have seen Markovic more than me: Sterling Markovic Coutinho Ibe
  22. Rubbish caption.
  23. I remember Cantona very well, easily old enough unfortunately. In terms of being the difference in a load of 1-0 spawns wins that took them to the title, Ronaldo did it more often during one season of his spell there than Cantona did back in the 90s.
  24. Wasn't that Ronaldo?
