I see that point & of course it makes sense. I just don't think its possible to know that it's deliberate, except in rare cases.

I've always thought the idea of needing a handball to be 'deliberate' is a bit weird - in most cases, how do you identify 'intent' unless you're a mind reader? Impossible to definitively know a player's intention in majority of cases where the ball hits a hand/arm etc.

My issue isn't with Thurs/Sunday - it's more that City will have had Tuesday/Sunday, AND a home game. We're away in Turkey. I agree that the intensity of the crowd & adrenaline could carry us through. Here's hoping.

Problem is, they have Barca at the Etihad on Tuesday. Decent recovery/preparation time. We are in Istanbul on Thursday. Hardly any recovery/preparation time. I hope I'm wrong, but with City hitting form again & us barely having a day to prepare for it, I fear next Sunday might be a game too many for us in a short space of time.

You're right that 4 points in our next 2 (along with having beaten Spurs) is decent but the likelihood is that it'd mean our deficit from Arsenal & the Mancs would increase further. So no, dropping points across the next 2 games wouldn't be helpful.

Maybe we can use Williams in the FA Cup game, or perhaps against Burnley at home.

Mourinho is a massive c*** but I make him right today. The fact that the burnley lad stayed on the field (didn't even get booked) is a disgrace.

Who's the other pundit with him? Van Hooidjonk? Was the foul definitely in the box? I wasn't convinced. Maybe was on the line, which would make it a pen.

To be honest, your posts come across as very agenda driven. Rodgers isn't immune from criticism but when someone has a pop during a very good run & has nothing positive to say at such a time, it does suggest an agenda.

Heavy snow over there, Besiktas flight was delayed. Don't know if they've flown over yet.. Apparently they'd asked to delay the game to Friday night.
