  1. Get in Leicester!!! 2-2 at WHL
  2. That'll be the one game they actually put a shift in for The idiots have decided to give me some hope by scoring...
  3. Either luck or a referee who chooses to decide the outcome. If nothing dodgy or out of the ordinary happens (and that would include us playing shyte), then we'll win.
  4. I can't believe that I'm still remotely surprised as how utterly shyte Newcastle are. Abysmal.

    Raheem Sterling

Yep. I think that's also designed to balance out the 'best kid in Europe' stuff, as much as it's generally correct too.

And Brendan hasn't been shy about calling him the best young player in Europe. More ammo for the agent.
  7. What a goal. How do you even stop that?

All I've said is I think the 'going rate' for a player at his level is probably £125k but that I'd pay the extra £25k if that made the difference between keeping or losing him. That's all.

    I'm not quibbling over anything.
  10. Chelsea FC crying about not getting penalties on their official website http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/03/penalty-puzzle.html
  11. I think the 'played well' level of the Everton & Arsenal games was in context to how we were doing at that time. Generally speaking, we weren't playing THAT well, just better that what we'd been serving up, until that point.
  12. To be fair, neither of our performances against Everton or Arsenal at Anfield were upto the level of that against City. If we play with the intensity that we did against Man City, United don't stand a chance. We'd genuinely smash them to pieces.
  13. That'd be utopia
  14. Our slight problem with Sturridge is easily solved. Pele's turning up on Sunday. So we can start him and then hook him for Studge on the hour.
  15. I was literally laughing to myself as I watched it back. The frustration of the Swansea fans, the forlorn look on their player's faces each time we won a freekick or a throw in and they saw another 40 seconds trickle away Lovely to see us being savvy & showing some nous in situations like that. God knows we've been on the receiving end of it enough times.

Sterling is special. No criticisms for any of the others but you can probably get what Hendo gives you in quite a few other players if you look for it. Sterling is far more unique. If we make him available, every top club will want him. City, Madrid, Chelsea etc. There's a reason for that. Don't think it'd be the case with Henderson, for example. That's why Sterling is different.
  17. Unless of course Martin Twatkinson is in one of those "look at me & how strong I am, I don't get influenced by the Kop, me..." moods.

    Raheem Sterling

Maybe true but the fact that he's one of our best & hasn't done anywhere near enough kind of tells a story. The chances of us getting players who HAVE done loads and established themselves at that level, are minimal, because we won't pay the wages. So given that we aren't likely to get many players who are considerably better, not being able to keep one of our best players isn't a good place to be in.
  19. Not sure if this has been said already but injury time was hilarious. Out of the 4 minutes of added time, 1 minute 58 was spent with the ball not active or in play. In between all those freekicks and throw ins we won in the corner of the pitch, we wasted half of the allocated time...

So much revisionism, it's comical. He isn't this, he isn't that, he isn't the other... Yeah, and he's one of our best players. End of really.
  21. Blessing in disguise for Arsenal. Now they can focus all their efforts into securing a top 4 finish so that they can qualify for the CL and not win it again next year.
  22. Prefer a draw in the Mancs-Spurs game. Spurs have an easy run in. The way I look at it, draw today and both drop 2 points. Then we beat Mancs next week and that's another 3 points they'll be dropping. Need Spurs to drop points here more than the mancs - there's gonna be plenty of likely opportunities for United to drop points. Not so for Spurs.
  23. Annoying really. Wanted Saints to lose that. Their run in is the easiest of the lot.

Where did I say '£125k max', Hassony? I think £125k is about right, the 'going rate' for where he's at just now. £150k is a bit more than that but if it made the difference between keeping or losing him, I'd pay it. I wouldn't be keen to pay him an amount which equates to him taking the p*ss but I don't think £25k more than what I'd consider to be 'about right' is taking the p*ss. Perhaps the best solution would be £125k with incentives that would equate to £150k if certain objectives are met.
