  2. We need Man U to lose or draw today to retain the faintest of hopes. We then need to be closer than 10-11pts behind them when we meet them at Anfield. Very very tough indeed.............1/10000000 chance.

  5. Rafa was looking to play with 4 up front under them. The Quattro formation.
  6. Wilkinson is more suited for The Blades anyway.

  8. Consortium tipped to rival Gillett bid by Ivan Terdin (Allied Newsline) A consortium with a mighty Australian Tycoon at the helm is looking to rival the Gillett bid for ownership of Liverpool FC, England's most successful football club. Jeff Sword, an Australian billionaire hailing from the steel trade, has teamed up with former Leeds United manager Howard Wilkinson as he looks to invest in a Premiership Club. It is rumoured that Sword and Wilkinson were looking into a possible purchase of Sheffield United but turned their attention to Liverpool when the Dubai based DIC pulled out of the running to purchase the club. Sword, a reclusive man by nature, has failed to comment on the speculation but Wilkinson did confirm the interest. "We feel that we are more appropriate investors in such a prestigious club than Gillett. We will offer a smoother running of the club." Wilkinson recently took offence to Rafa Benitez's comments in the media regarding the academy system in England but has moved to allay any fears that he would be looking to remove Benitez from manager if he takes up the post of footballing director under the new ownership. "No, it will not happen" stated Wilkinson. "When we move into place no one will bleed after we run through things and get to work".

  14. Talk in the Italian media of FIFA haven now given the go ahead for the loan deal to take place.
  15. There was a great site set up by the Inter Milan fans to tease AC Milan. Full of clips, quotes, funny pics etc. No longer running too : (
  16. Santiago Munez was obviously the best player in the world but the Newcastle manager did not think so.

    Peter Crouch

Just like his headed attempts at goal then.
  18. They will probably want to play 2 keepers on the day.
  19. I think he can do for us what Adams did for Arsenal and that is play in certain games and offer cover. I would love to see him stay on.

  21. I bet Rafa has all those stats on DVD.
  22. The set pieces statistic is our downfall I think. In modern football set pieces have become a very important means to score.
  23. Only 26,000 at the game? Their best hope for a trophy this season

    Sami upfront ?

Crouch covers some 14km a game. Hyypia probably covers half than that being a defender and can you imagine him upping it to anywhere near that? Hyypia has tyhe turning radius of the titanic. He is excellent to have in the box for set pieces and he can do that as a defender already.
  25. So we won the Champs Lge and little of it had to do with Rafa. Great logic there.
