A couple of Warnock classics seen on TV during the game: 1. Walking off at HT. Clearly audible on TV. Talking to Gerrard. Said something follwed by ..."............f***ing penalties". 2. 2nd half. Sheff Utd have a free kick on the wing. They pass infield and try to move forward. Play eventually breaks down. Close up of Warnock and (clearly audible on TV) he says "Don't f***ing play it around. Whip it in!!"

From the little Spanish I understand the TV commentator is going on about the lamentable behaviour of those "fans" towards Gerrard.

Rafa went mental alright. He stormed back to the bench after Paco's twin (the 4th official) had a word.

Carra is appreciated by us lot and I am sure it matters more to him than what McLaren and co. do with England.

Fingers crossed it is not too bad. We need him for the 2nd leg.

In his bio there is an apt description of it comparing it to a puppet master controlling the puppet through the strings and making the players do exactly what he wanted them to do in what is defined as one of the first examples of a demonstration of total football.

AYESTERAN TO QUIT LIVERPOOL FOLLOWING PORTUGAL FRACAS by Lionel Counts www.sportingstory.co.uk The fall-out from Liverpool's training camp fracas in Portugal seems to have no end with assistant manager Paco Ayesteran now being rumoured to be leaving the club at the end of the season. It seems that Rafa Benitez is far from pleased with Ayesteran as he was supposedly left in charge of the players for the evening whilst Benitez left the camp to attend to some personal business. A blazing row between the pair ensued upon Benitez's return to the camp and him finding out about the night of revelry which ended up with Jerzy Dudek being arrested and Craig Bellamy taking a golf club to John Arne Riise. The three players have since been fined by Benitez and it seems as if their Anfield careers are also nearing the end of the line. Benitez is said to be keen on replacing Ayesteran with another Spanish assistant. Possible candidates as his replacements include Seve Ballasteros and Sergio Garcia.
