The whole issue is a very difficult one as I think the idea of fan ownership is an admirable one but I think its one that unfortunately isn't workable, certainly not if we want to comment in the tranfer market. I'm no financial expert but I don't think the models suggested are really viable, of course the other issue is who runs the club, would every member get a vote for say the CEO, board members, financial director etc? If so, it could lead to the best people not getting the job just the most popular which could cause all kinds of problems. I think the best we can hope for and something which I think would be a step forward, is for the owner of the club to help raise finances for a new staduim to sell a percentage of the club via shares to fans, restricting the number of shares an individual can buy. As well as guaranteeing fan representation on the board. To be honest I'm not sure we will see either happening but would be more likely to get the 2nd one, before we see club ownership by the fans and would probably be my preferred option.

Well you haven't swatted me and perhaps you should learn to think before you give your responses and actually try to add something to a debate, your one line replies are neither witty or interesting.

To you maybe but as a member or ex member of the PTS who paid £55 a year for being a member of it, it wasn't free, i think it is very relevant and if you want it to be fair to all why not do away with season ticketst* and make tickets available to all based on a loyalty scheme. It may adversely affect you but it would be fair to all, that is the natural extension to your argument. Why not show some loyalty to the members of the scheme who bought tickets regularly and if people aren't using change the rules so they lose their membership and others could then join it, I'm sorry but your argument and that of Ian Ayre rides rough shod over supporters who have been members of the PTS for years. Oh and I'm an OOTer and I know other members of the PTs who were OOTers as well, so its not benefiting them or me. * I am not suggesting they actually do that or think its a good idea.

So you don't think that it might put people off joining SOS when people are jumped on and told to f off and stop hiding behind their keyboards etc when they dare to criticise SOS. Its happened since it was created and put me off joining for a while but the current owners managed to convince me to join SOS with their actions and despite the cr@p you get off supporters of SOS if you dare be critical. Why would I worry about the image of Ireland, I'm not Irish...

Well thought out reply, why are some SOS supporters so sensitive about any criticism it receives? It does the image of SOS no good at all and makes people wonder what they are being so defensive. I am a member of them and I was expressing a view that they should have said more in their first statement and I felt this one didn't go quite far enough. No handwringing just an opinion, or aren't they allowed if they are not what you and other SOS members want to hear. Molby, its not just this issue which would cause me to resign, I have got a bit disallusioned with their focus which seems to have been more about tickets etc rather than getting the owners out. I thought after the march before the game against the mancs they seemed to rest on their laurels and lost momentum, if they had concentrated on keeping up the pressure they would have more support. Not resigned yet, thought their handling of the chanting issue was poor. I think sometimes they forget they need to be aware of how they are perceived not just by members but by non members, the club and media otherwise their credibility will suffer and that will make their job so much harder if not impossible. You are probably are right that I should drop them an email about it.

There does seem to be a heightened level of paranoia on this site regarding our players possibly leaving. They only have to mentioned in a paper and some are in full blown panic, even if the articles have no real source.

You've completely missed the point.

He's gone, good riddance, the buck does stop with him for selling to those idiots. He fell for their ego massage and the fact he would have a place on the board and be an honorary life president, so he could keep an eye on the way the club is being run. Any good he did was far out weighed by selling to G+H. He could have kept DIC on board while looking at the bid from G+H, if he had really wanted them to, makes you wondered whether DIC were getting frustrated at the length of time the whole process being run by Moores and Parry, given how long it appeared to take Parry to get transfers etc done.

Too little to late really, they have lost a lot of credibility over this incident and its taken them until now to even mention condemning the chanting etc. Its a pity they still can't just apologise for it happening, not just to those who might have been offended by it. I'm considering whether to resign my membership or not and hope they concentrate on getting the owners out of the club.

The reality is he's done a decent job since taking over at Hull, I'm sure their fans are happy with what he's done. Why would the Hull chairman sack him when he has taken them from 24th in the championship to staying up in the premership with a pretty poor squad. Those saying Hull only stayed up because Boro, Newcastle and Wba were worse, thats true every year of the team who finished just above the relegation zone.

Fantastic result last night, I'm trying to remember another final that was so one sided. Great to see those w*****s humilated with the whole of europe watching. As a side issue, how long do people reckon before OM or NWR post on here again, pre season friendlies or after the first game of next season (only if they win of course)
