  5. But one whose manager has already given up on beating his mates team, not too mention their dodgy owner but apart from that they are a proper football club.
  6. When did Yossi change his name to Keane, if you want to discuss him then open a new thread and leave this one to discuss Yossi's injury, rather than the same old faces hijacking another thread.
  7. It was a terrible deal for shareholders and proved that he really didn't have the funds to move the club forward, if he needed to try and buy the club using that type of financing then I don't really see how he could have carried on with the required level of investment to move us forward. I'm glad he didn't get to buy the club as I think he would have been a terrible owner, probably as bad as G+H in his own way and he had already shown his love of using the media. We need a proper owner not a muppet like Morgan.
  8. Yossi Ngog Insua Riera was nowhere near as poor as some are making out, didn't realise this was not only a MOM thread but a slag a player of thread as well.
  9. I must admit I haven't been a fan of Yossi and didn't think he was up to it but I am happy he is proving me wrong.
  10. I think you are spot on with this, yes Rafa has made some buys which haven't worked out but no more than other managers. Its a ridiculous argument that some are making about we should have used the money Rafa had available on one or two big signings because ot misses the point that when Rafa took over the squad was poor and he needed to strengthen it. That is what he has done, unfortunately last summer when he identified his main transfer targets and was trying to move the team forward, Parry and the two clowns undermined him and we ended up with the fiasco that followed. The club should have backed Rafa and let him decide the shape and tactics for the team, not leave him in a position with a forward, it appeared he only wanted if he got his main target. People need to stop listening to the media so much and actually look at the facts, we have a stronger squad than we did when Rafa took over, if Parry had done his job in the summer we would have had an even stronger squad.
  11. Thats just not true, you've been listening to the media too much.
  12. The squad he has now is a lot better than when he started but you only have to look at the summer to see how he hasn't always got the player(s) he has wanted. Which has restricted the tactics/formation available to him, I am not saying he hasn't got things wrong at times but some of the criticism on here has failed to see the whole picutre and missed the point completely.
  13. I'm not saying therw aren't top managers out there but I would argue that they would be as good as rafa, in fact it would almost guarantee that we wouldn't win or be in contention for the league next year, given the history of mangers winning the league in their first season without spending vast amounts of money (obviously Wenger was the exception). My point wasn't about the amount of transfer money but the fact he hasn't always got the actual player(s) he wanted.
  14. Yep he has made a few mistakes but to my mind you can only really judge him when he gets the actual transfer targets he wants. His tactics are largely influenced by the players available to him, those who want him judged at the end of the season should be careful what they are wishing for because in all liklihood we would end up with a far inferior manager.
  15. Is very true and you can only really judge him when he has been allowed to manage without the c*** those two c**ts bring.
  16. I dont think he was joking, if thats the only level of response you can give, perhaps you should just f*** off to red cafe and the like. Nobody thought Chelsea would crumble, then look what happened when we beat them at home...

  18. When I lived in Cambridge I used to sit in the main stand at West Ham when we played them, no real issues apart from getting punched in the back one year (he got chucked out cos the person we used to get the tickets from organised the match days for the directors and her brother was landlord of our local and she kept and eye us and made sure we were ok). You must be mad even contemplating sitting with the manc fans.
  19. Is it not a bit too early for this thread seeing as we have 2 league games and a CL game before then. One game at a time please.
  20. I don't rate him all that highly, I've not seen anything that makes me think "wow I'd love him to sign for us". Plus I would imagine he will be massively overpriced.
  21. Apparently so and it is the fault of everyone else if things go wrong. Wonder who he will blame if they don't win today?
  22. Spot on, you can't take it away from him, a pity a few can't accept that.
  23. Only if he isn't mad, I've tended to find the people who have that sign up in their office are not mad but incredibly dull.

    Keane

That would seem to be the logical conclusion to come to, it appears Keane couldn't adapt to life at the club and appears to have coped the hump when he wasn't playing or being subbed off, but then again when he wasn't playing regularly at Spurs he showed the same sort of thing. If we lose Torres to injury then we may struggle but I think Kuyt is better at playing that kind of role than Keane was, the ideal scenario would have been to have got a replacement in but we haven't and we need to look forward to the rest of season with the squad we have.

    Keane

I agree with you, although he had at most a handful of good games, he was at the other end of the scale in terms of performance far too often. At what point is the whole Keane saga going to die down a bit, I can't beleive how some on here who have been amongst his biggest critics are now using him as an excuse to moan about the manager etc.
