  1. Allegedly over a vote rigging scandal Calderon gone
  2. According to the BBC Sport latest news Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has resigned, they don't have the reasons and details yet.

  4. I'm not sure having a flag day every home game is the way forward as it could come across as bit manufactured. There definately needs to be a shift in the mind set of the fans into accepting the games coming up are big games and the team needs the type of support they get during European games. Rather than the tense nervous support which seems to have crept in (caveat on that being only seen most of this on TV, apart from early games), really I think it is down to the season tickets and other regular match goers to lead the way. How you actually ensure that happens is difficult, maybe arrange a flag day for the Man City game, to give the support a bit of a boost, the atmosphere should be there for the Everton and Chelsea games anyway. Plus hopefully by the Man city game I will be able to start going to games again.
  5. He won't have total control as the budget is set for him and he has to identify targets within that budget, that has to be Rafa's role not the CEO.
  6. To suggest Parry is a better judge of a player than Rafa is just stupid.
  7. That would be so wrong, its not because he's an australian but because he's a c*** pure and simple .
  8. Nobody is suggesting that he is given a blank cheque book, including Rafa. The argument is who decides which players the money is spent on and how much they're worth, those decisions have to be the managers not a CEO, his job is to get the targets for a little as possible and as quick as possible. To think otherwise is madness because the CEO is not qualified to choose that ahead of the manager and its almost a step back to the pre-Shankl ydays when the board picked the team.
  9. I think Rafa is correct, he should be the one who decides which players to spend the budget on and how much they are worth. Parry can then go and get them, or most probably take forever to get any transfers done. Given the choice in a straight fight has to be Rafa over Parry everytime, I just hope Rafa ensures this doesn't become a distraction, no doubt the likes of SKY etc will try and turn this into a major drama.

  18. I can't understand why a top footballer in his prime, like Kaka, would go to Man City, certainly this season as there aren't any footballing reasons for them to go. I know the money they are offering is massive but he hardly would be on peanuts at AC Milan. It could just show how little players are concerned about the footballing side of things if they start going to what in reality has been in the last 30 years a pretty average club at best.
