You can also be a fan and not go out of your way to criticise the manager at length. You never miss an opportunity to have a go, the sooner he signs the contract the better, he is in my opinion the best man for the job, mistakes and all.

I think it all goes back to the fact that following missing out on the Euro's he chose to go to the olympics, even though he wasn't match fit rather that stay at the club and get fit. This has has led to 2 issues him, the first him struggling to get his fitness and therefore his form levels quickly enough, the second one, Rafa was annoyed by that and because he hasn't really played very well this season, Rafa has lost a bit of faith in him.

Really? It happened with 10 of those players last year and the only change is Riera for Babel. You say that you like the threads where people discuss tactics etc but when somebody has the audacity to disagree with what you have said, rather than try and give a reasoned response your arrogance takes over and you reply like you have above. Not at all, because Gerrard would be playing off Torres with Masch and Alonso playing the holding roles with Riera and Kuyt slightly further forward left and right. Pretty much the formation we finished last season with. As an aside I disagree with your Kuyt is s*** playing on the right in a 442 argument. I think he can play that role to good affect and given peoples form this year is currently our best bet. I do sometimes think Kuyt is underrated by fans.

Its all a bit fantasy football this, so if we sell this six, how many players would you think we need to buy in. Because I make it at least 4, cover for centre midfield, a forward, at least one right midfielder and a player to cover the right hand side in case the new super winger gets injured. Of course all of these will have to be better than the players we have sold. Not to mention the fact of we are a bit light on cover for right back. Does anyone actually believe we can do that for the budget you are suggesting, because I don't, I would keep Kuyt been excellent for us at times this season and is somewhat underrated on here. Would give Lucas another year, he might well adapt yet. Not convinced by Yossi or Babel so if the offer was good enough might let them go and Keane can definitely go. Still thinking about Dossena as its his first season in a new country and league but then again, if the offer was good enough sell him I suppose.

That wasn't a s*** team he picked against Everton, it was a team that should have been good enough to have beaten them, the same applies to the Stoke game as well. We need to get Carra and Agger back as our CB pairing again, we really miss his ability to bring the ball out of defence and it means our midfield have to drop deeper to pick the ball up off the CB's. For what its worth I thought Skrtel had a poor game and worried me when he had the ball.

I thought Keane would be a good signing when we got him, I was wrong and last night he was woeful, in the 2nd half he never seemed to be anywhere near the ball. I hope he doesn't get another start and I agree lets play Gerrard behind Torres. It shouldn't take an experienced footballer this long to settle at a new club in a league he has played in. He is known as a link striker but he didn't look like it last night ands I wish people would stop blaming his poor performances on someone or something else, if its not Rafa's fault its because of the formation, no its not its because he isn't good enough.
