  1. What part of my post are you questioning?
  2. Dont be stupid and actually try and make a reasoned argument, rather than just moan on. How about starting the thread you really want too?
  3. Who the f*** cares, its football we are talking about not Rugby or Tennis.
  4. Ha ha do you really shouldn't enter a debate you clearly dont understand, I wasn't on about two teams in the same game you complete plank.
  5. Yes and clearly they don't want to risk him for even an hour at the moment, otherwise they would have done. I hope he is fit enough to start on Tuesday as I am looking forward to him playing.
  6. I dont know, I'm don't follow rugby that closely and I don't really care that much about how far down the video referrals go to, as we are talking about football not rugby. I just don't like what this would do to football.
  7. When Yossi came off yesterday then it was obviously going to be Aurelio or Riera, it is frustrating we haven't seen more of him but I could see why Rafa made the substitution he did. As for starting Aquilani and playing him until he is tired is risky because a player coming back from a long term injury is more likely to pick up a niggle when they arer tired, far better to bring him on for 20-30 minutes at the moment to avoid that risk. I agree there have been opportunities to have done that so far but given what happened early in the game injury wise, yesterday wasn't one of those.
  8. So you, as an advocate of video technology have no qualms about two teams in the same competition having different levels of technology etc? Because I for one think it stinks as it opens the gulf between the have and have nots. Perhaps its me, perhaps I'm out of touch in liking the fact there is controversy and passion in the game, Fifa are bad enough at trying to change the rules to make the game more sterile, let alone actual fans suggesting it.
  9. I didn't mention Tennis, its a ridiculous comparison. I have already covered the areas where I believe there would be problems, I'm not sure what other details you want. I wasn't on about grass roots level, but the lower league teams who are struggling financially. Although the more I think about this it makes me realise this would have to go lower down than that, in fact to any team entering the FA cup, the reason being you would have to the same rules and technology open to all entrants in a particular competition. Otherwise it makes the gulf bigger and bigger. You should have stopped reading the article as soon as you saw that, it is an absolutely ridiculous idea, almost makes Sepp Blatter seem a rational thinker.
  10. It should have bog all to do with money but whats best for the game and stop starting a game isn't the way forward. If you want to talk about money, how are the lower leagues going to afford the equipment, as alot of them are on the financial precipice or is it only for those who can afford it? Video technology will not be the saviour of the game some seem to believe, in fact I believe it will further damage the game, if you want appeals, vieo technology etc go and watch another sport.
  11. I totally disagree with this idea, it would slow the game up and as has already been said video evidence can be inconclusive and just puts more pressure on the officials.
  12. I hope they don't, this type of thing has always happened and it is part and parcel of the game. Football is a passionate game and part of that is talking/ranting about bad decisions etc, the game has been tampered with enough over the past few years with the tackle being virtually outlawed and cards given out far to freely. All to enhance the 'beautiful game', it has made the game more sterile, adding video technology would just been another act of taking the passion out of it. In addition to this, we have seen in other sports that video technology doesn't always give a conclusive answer, I say leave it to the officials, they will make mistakes but hey so do footballers who are paid a hell of a lot more, it all adds to what makes football such a fantastic game.
  13. Anyway has Phil Brown been sacked yet?? To be honest I think its a bit harsh if they do as he has got them punching above their weight by getting them in the premiership and keeping them there.
  14. Yes it was a clear handball , but no way was it part of a conspiracy, it amuses me that as soon as things like this happen some fans try and play the conspiracy card, unfortunately we can be guilty of it at times as well. This kind of incident has been going on for years and will do so for years to come, its part and parcel of football.

  17. The way the FA have been avoiding bringing anymore charges against him, despite his continual slating of referees. It makes me wonder whether the FA are going to give him some form of suspended punishment over his Wiley comments and they don't want to have to actually invoke the punishment by charging him for his latest comments. Either way they are running scared of him and his minions, its absolutely disgraceful.
  18. I still think we will finish in the top 4, despite all the problems we have, we are still within 3 points of 4th place. Where we finish in the top 4 will largely depend on whether we can get our players fit and keep them fit and how much the other contenders for a CL spot spend. We could still finish 2nd if the Mancs dont spend big as I think they don't have a ronaldo to keep bailing them out and I think Arsenal will fade in the 2nd half of the season, obviously it becomes a bit harder if Man city go and spend another shed load of money.

    Rafa

Rafa should stay, I beleive him to be the best man for the job and those who think it maybe time for him to go, who do you actually think we would get? In all liklihood its going to be somebody like Klinsman or Curbishley etc, you need yo be careful of what you wish for. It should be 100% support for the manager and 100% anger against the two owners.

  22. I agree with Kev about giving youngsters a go, certainly ahead of Babel and Voronin who have been given opportunities and just aren't good enough. There is no harm in letting the youngsters have ago if its a choice between them and those two let downs.

  24. More 2nd choice under Rafa and a cracking finish. Not sure I'd have him as 2nd choice but fair play to him today
  25. No it'd still be a poor result. It is pretty pointless but always gets a reaction, whether it annoys/makes you feel better or worse, depending on the result.
