If he does has a clause in his contract stating he can go to a CL club for £6m as reported, Hughes will have no choice but to sell him if we want him and he wants to come to us. I'd place as much stock in the clause rumour as any other I've heard regarding incoming strikers. Even aside from the money aspect, I think Bellamy is a better player than Defoe. He'd give us pace and agression. We're a bit of a soft touch up top at the moment.

I'd rather Bellamy at £6m than Defoe at £10m. He has more to his game, imo.
