  1. It's called negotiation, Anders, and the reason that it's running and running is that there's two hardnosed f*ckers involved and neither is blinking. The desired end product is one of mutual benefits. Del Nido wants a big fee and we want the player. If reports are true, Alves wants to join us - I think that ultimately that will be the deciding factor.
  2. I know how you feel. Best manager in Europe bar none. We're lucky to have him and he knows that we f*cking love him. 19 is inevitable. It's gonna happen. I've not felt this way since 1990. We are a cut above. We don't even need superstar signings. Chelsea can kiss my f*cking a***. We have momentum and a huge f*cking brain at the helm. Believe!
  3. Superb play from Robbie. It was a masterstroke bringing Fowler back. He might be 3rd choice (or even 4th, depending on who we buy), but there is no better candidate to fill that role. And he will score goals, and he will create goals. Rafa is no mug. Completely f*cking inspired signing. I f*cking love Robbie Fowler and I predict a league medal fairytale end to his career with us. I'm also drunk, but I mean every f*cking word. Inspired.
  4. Let's get this out the way first: Steve Bruce, over 100 career goals in something like 700 games. A couple of titles. BUT - a c*nt. A horrible c*nt. A thorn in our side for years and a man with more broken noses that I've had hot dinners. I saw him on A Question of Sport one night when Peter Reid was on Parrot's team. It only confirmed that he was a c*nt. The c*nt couldn't even take a bit of banter. A c*nt.
  5. The Alves deal is gonna run and run. My gut tells me we'll get him, though. And while we're on the subject, I think Pennant is a very good player, but Birmingham can kiss my ring if they want £8m for him. A horrible shower that are back where they belong. Steve Bruce makes my f*cking blood boil, and that's before we get on to the odious c*nts in the boardroom. Horrible club. Get down and stay down.
  6. Watched it in my gaff with me good mate Kev. Normally we'd have 6+ for CL games (we have our good luck seats at this stage), but the majority of the lads were on holiday, so it was only us two. We both knew we could do it - even when behind. Pongolle changed the game and we danced around like kids when Stevie struck the third. The night is clearer in my mind than Istanbul, where I was a gibbering wreck. It's nights like that that halt my disillusionment with the beautiful game.
  7. Agreed. He's no striker. No problem playing on either flank, though.
  8. We're not short on left sided players (I know he can play on the right) His current £70k a week wages The fee being mooted in the media The Chelsea factor I rate Duff, I just don't see us signing him. I suppose after Robbie's return, I shouldn't be surprised at any signings, but I still can't see this one happening.
  9. I can't see us signing Duff. In fact, I'll be flabbergasted if it happens.
  10. SSN have managed to show the goal, without actually showing it.
  11. Bent ahead of Defoe for me.

  13. Well worth it to see Fathead and that shower of sh*tehawks sent back to where they belong.

  16. F*cking hell, I hope this doesn't happen. He's big soft get with very limited footballing ability.
  17. The Argies made an utter balls of their substitutions.
  18. Argentina due to having a solid defense and a multitude of attacking options. And because I've got 100 notes riding on it.

  20. I've never heard it confirmed but I always thought he was the Anfield Mole. I never liked the c*nt. To think that he was made Liverpool captain makes me shudder.

  22. Bo11ocks. Children should be encouraged to hate all things Man Utd from the earliest age possible. Everything in moderation, my father always said - including hatred. I choose to use my hatre quota up on the Mancs and Elton John, like any balanced individual would.
  23. That reminds me of a comment made by crack snooker player Tony Knowles in the mid 1980s: "Steve Davis may have the titles, but he's ginger and will never have beautiful flowing locks like mine." It's all about priorities. Is Danny Wilson still one of the best young managers in the game?
  24. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink doesn't mind losing, as long as he's on the scoresheet.
  25. I don't think it's that ridiculous. Bellamy obviously insisted on it being in there and Blackburn probably thought it was unlikely that anyone would activate it.
