I don't see O'Leary being there for too long. It's just a matter of time before he loses the players.... if he doesn't lose the support of the board first. In hindsight, not a very good move for Meelan. Although I think most of us coulda told him that in the summer.

I think he likes going against the grain in an attempt to make himself look like some kind of genius when the law of averages dictates that'll he'll get some things right. A clown of the highest order and a bulls*** artist with few rivals.

That's pretty much my thoughts on it. Platt had a great goalscoring record, but his all round game never really impressed me. Lampard's goals (and the fact that he's NEVER injured) are extremely valuable, but without a minder (or 2) in the middle of the park, I'm unconvinced as to his effectiveness - especially in a 4-4-2. He's far from sh*te, obviously, but I don't buy this 'best midfielder in Europe/the World' stuff.

He's the new David Platt.
