  1. He's a good player. I hope he doesn't go to the Mancs. Still waiting on Fergie to sign a central midfielder.....can't believe they're getting away with Giggs, Fletcher, O'Shea and the like. The sooner the better that purple faced c*nt is away from that club.
  2. Fair play to Stelios.

  4. I take it that means ?30m to Chelsea or Madrid and ?22m to everyone else.
  5. Jesus, there's no end to this guy blowing his own trumpet. Maybe the £18m will be used to bring in the "four players" that he was constantly going on about in the press last year. *snigger*
  6. "I can't be arsed playing for that Houllier w*nker or moving to another country before the World Cup. I'll toddle off to Villa for a year, where Diamond Dave O'Leary has managed to get the club to agree to a big contract and a fat signing on fee for me. I'll let him lick my a*** for a year, before having a storming World Cup and moving to sunny Spain or Italy just in time for the 2006/07 season"
  7. The situation at Villa will be a recurring theme wherever he goes. He starts out well by saying the right things to the chairman initially to get the job. He then gives young players a chance and they play their heart out for him. Ditto his own signings. The older pros already at the club are less likely to be taken in by his brown-nosing bullsh*t, so he inevitably falls out with them. This leaves the squad constantly short unless he has money to bring in replacements. Win, lose or draw, he constantly spouts self-serving crap on the telly and in the papers. After 18 months or so, even the younger players are getting p*ssed off with him. He loses the players and the chairman realises that he's dealing with a bullsh*t artist. O'Leary is sacked, spends the next 6 months out of football waiting for the 'right job' before eventually taking the reigns at a progressively club where the cycle starts again.
  8. The lack of ambition shown by Rafa and Parry by not signing this kid, is quite frankly, sickening.
  9. His effort couldn't be faulted, and he improved over time, but I still thought he was poor. The fact that Rafa got rid of him without having a nailed on RW lined up would suggest that he was probably of the same opinion.
  10. Yeah, we rarely make a profit on players and we regularly get screwed in the transfer market. Jesus, can you imagine the bargaining that will go on if other clubs think we have loadsacash to spend? That's the chance you take, I suppose. For every Morientes, there's an Alonso, who has probably doubled his value since arriving. Not that we'll ever see that cash, cos we're not selling him.
  11. We'd still get a decent few quid for him. Not what we paid, but more than what we'd get we leave it till next season. His stock has fallen that much.
  12. That sums up my feelings on it to a large extent. I've been a big fan of his for years, but for whatever reasons, it's not worked out quite the way we'd have hoped. It's unlikely at this stage of his career that he'll want play 4th fiddle to Crouch and the two strikers that I reckon we'll bring in this summer, so it would probably be prudent to cash in while we can. I've no doubt that if he moves on, he'll be a Premiership survivor. He's got class, but he's just not suited to English football.

  15. Momo is like the Duracel Bunny. The amount of ground he covers is phenomenal. He's certainly living up to the promise he made when he first signed: "I'll run my knackers off for the club". I might be paraphrasing slightly there, but that was the general gist of it.

  18. That letter has to be a pisstake. I've personally never heard the Munich verses in Dublin or Liverpool or indeed any references to Ring of Fire being a Munich song. None of the Dublin supporters that I know have either.
