He did well in Italy and was sold because his contract was running down. I think his profile fits English football better. He's great on the ball, dominant in the air and very physical. He wouldn't suit how we play but I think he'll do very well in United's deeper line. He's not dissimilar to Vidic but he's a much better passer. Half the league still just has big physical lads

Some of the lads we're selling are arguably ahead of where Quansah and Bradley were 12 months ago though. You don't get Quansahs or Bradleys unless you take a bit of a risk, put them in before they're fully ready and give them the opportunities and time to develop

I think he'll be a great signing for United, he seems much better suited to English football than Italian or German.

We're in a really weird position this summer I think. I look at our squad and bar a back-up LB (assuming Tsimikas goes) I'm not sure which positions we really need to strengthen. We've a load of guys like Darwin, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Jones, Elliott etc who aren't at the standards of predecessors in their positions but who are all good players in their own right and who you could imagine kicking on but at the same time if you told me 3 or 4 of them were playing elsewhere in two years I wouldn't be that surprised.

We were linked with him a few weeks back, he can play LB too. Watched a few vids and he looks very good but he's very short for a CB in the PL, 5'11 or 6'
