  1. Keep him then, he's on £3m a year, we spend that on Academy players. He's of more use to us than a few million quid in the bank especially when we're already 5/6 players short
  2. Muñoz too
  3. Sending Elliott out on loan is moronic as well, we're short at 10 and RW, why are we getting rid of another body?
  4. Wasn't there a bit of talk that PSG wanted a buy-back clause? That's the only way you'd excuse this
  5. We're in a bit of a weird spot with him, he's obviously got huge potential but he's nowhere near ready to be a regular starter yet and we're about to spend £100m+ on a guy who plays in the same position. I hope he's got a good team around him who are prepared to be patient and let him develop over the next couple of years rather than insisting he starts every week. He's only got a couple of years left on his deal after this season but he's eligible to sign a longer contract from tomorrow (when he turns 18). I wouldn't be surprised if he waits until the summer to see if he's getting chances. I wouldn't be surprised if we cash in come the summer if he's not renewed which would be a big shame.

  7. I don't think I could handle TAW butchering that name twice as often as they are
  8. Sounds like he's the Isak backup too
  9. They've sold £1bn worth of players since their owners came in, City have sold over £300m worth of players this summer and only lost one first team player. The mid table sides are propping up the failures of the top teams this summer
  10. I think/hope Barcola is going to unlock Wirtz and Isak. He's brilliant at timing runs from outside the right back into the space between the right back and the centre back, it'll give Wirtz a through-ball that he doesn't have with Gakpo and it'll make the CB move off Isak which they don't really have to do at the moment.
  11. What is Monaco's situation?
  12. The first two don't even play for those clubs anymore and Bardghji (who's at Barca now) just did his ACL.
  13. Yeah it's been done a lot in recent years, I'd argue there's been a better hit ratio with signings from The Championship to the Premier League than some of the other big leagues. Whatever we think about this lot they were/are solid PL players: Maddison, Maguire, Toney, Watkins. I think the Hackney lad Everton got will do well for them too unfortunately
  14. We spent £125m on a 10 when our best player was a 10. We spent £90m on a forward and then made him a backup by spending £125m on another forward. Now we seem like we're about to spend £140m on a left winger when it's arguably the only position on the pitch where we actually have some quality and depth. All the while we have let the midfield go to s***e and we haven't replaced arguably our best ever player on the right despite knowing he was leaving for 6-9 months.
  15. Remember when Ziege was a world class wing-back but then we tried to play him as a left-back and he was absolute dog s***? We might have done it again.
  16. "Where's your famous, where's your famous, where's your famous Balon D'or? where's your famous Balon D'or?"
  17. Why are we waiting until two days before the start of the season to bid for a guy we could have gone in for months ago?
  18. €30m for Jones is nothing given some of the fees being paid this summer.
  19. He was brilliant in 24/25 but he fell off a cliff last season. Big money for a risk
  20. Anfield Sector are the ones that fabricate quotes out of thin air aren't they? Nothing on any of those journalists' accounts about Mbaye
  21. Athletic saying it's actually a 38% share they've taken which would be almost exactly $3bn on an $8bn valuation. They confirm the option to buy in 12 months as well
  22. Ah yeah, I'm not saying he's as good or anything, I just haven't seen a player with explosive acceleration like that since Owen. Pythagoras In Boots has done an analysis of him, not that impressed
  23. His acceleration with the ball from a standing start is kind of startling isn't it, made me think of Michael Owen but he seems to keep the ball closer to his feet than Owen did
  24. We need a CM who worries about what the opposition are doing a bit more. Grav and Szoboszlai are great in possession but they don't think defensively
  25. He was over a year older in 13/14 and half this forum were selling him 6 months beforehand
