Maldini

Acheampong could be very good and is genuinely able to play RB or CB

Seems like it might have been about Tsimikas being given the armband instead of him

Weird that all the English media are saying €170m and L'Equipe are saying €120m

Dembele started 9, they're not a regular club Yeah, I think we need 6/7 players, they can't/shouldn't all be exciting. We need a couple of top players and a load of squad filler

€120m for Diomande apparently. It really feels like the market has gone mad this summer. He looks like an incredible prospect but he's played less than 50 senior games. Teams are throwing mad money at players who haven't done enough to justify the fees. It seems like every fee is either £35m or £115m as well MMbaye?

Muñoz is there too, Iraola had Semenyo, who's right-footed playing off the right for Bournemouth, he may want to do the same here. Isak benefitted from Jacob Murphy being an orthodox old school right footed right winger at Newcastle too.

Barcola has played a fair bit on the right, 7 goals and 15 assists in 37 games

He'd buy one, clone him and then sell the clones at a discount to undercut the whole RB market

Ousmande Diomande looks like he's going to Forest for €40m

Arsenal in for Stones too now

Chelsea in for Stones apparently, I thought he was a couple of years older than 32, worth a short term contract?

Seems we're moving uncharacteristically quickly to replace him

It's an Irish name as well, his family are completely Irish apparently, I live in the town his family left for Argentina

It's all more work we have to do though. We probably need to shift about 12 players and bring in 6/7

Bajcetic, Chambers, Ramsay, Scanlon, McConnell, Jaros, Koumas from the squad in the US too

The lack of links for our deadweight players leaving is almost as worrying as the lack of links for players coming in. It kind of feels like we're going to end up playing a load of kids next season.

That Laurie lad is an awful gobs***e. I think El Mala looks top quality FWIW. 13 goals and 5 assists in 20 starts at the age of 19 in the Bundesliga is incredible and he can play all across the front line.

Then you're waiting around all summer to find a buyer, potentially not finding one he's happy with etc. I can understand why they just wanted the clean break

We were on the hook for £25m+ for his last year. You could see how we'd be happy enough to save the £15-20m on his wages without the potential hassle of negotiating a fee

I'd say we gave him a chunk of his last year as part of the deal as well

That's senior level

£130m and it doesn't activate til next season

Given the fees going around this summer £35m for Gomes is a steal. How long until we get the "we don't want to block Nyoni's pathway" leaks?

Looks like Antonio Silva is going to Bournemouth, presumably we'll sign him in 12 months for 60m more than they pay

Good point
