Fair enough, but the French league is notoriously hard to score in, I can remember reading a stat, think it was that only 2 players in the last 25 years have scored over 20 league goals, one was Jean-Pierre Papin and Cisse was the other. Cisse of course got 29.

Good keeper, moved on from Barca on loan a couple of years back when they signed a load of keepers, his move was completed last summer I think, he's solid, good shot-stopper and has the longest kick I've ever seen. I said kick.

Very very talented player, he's never really done it consistently at club level, but is great for Ireland. I think he'd fit into our squad well, add another dimension. He's the kind of player the fans would love -
Solari...average??? I take it you've not seen much of him, he's quality!!! He doesn't figure much for Real because Zidane plays in his position. Figaro says Barca have him wrapped up though

His agent said we were interested after Euro 2004, it's gone quiet since then, I think he might have been lined up as a replacement for Gerrard. He'd be an excellent signing, he has a fantastic understanding with Milan, don't know if we could afford him though
