He was pretty good before christmas, not at his best but not as poor as now. I think he's just getting pissed off with their rigid style of play. He doesn't look happy when he's playing anymore.

Robben was appalling up until about Christmas time. Cole's not really a winger either.

He's not overrated though, if anything he's underrated. He's an incredible talent, Chelsea don't use him right though.

He's still the best LW in the game (Ronaldinho isn't a winger) he's stifled by Chelsea's tactics though, did you know he had the best possession retention statistics in the league last season? Over 80% of his passes went to a teammate. That may seem good on first inspection, but in reality it was because he was cutting back inside and passing it to the midfield instead of taking a risk and taking on players. He really doesn't fit in at Chelsea, while he has seemingly become a bit more of a bitter b*****d while there he still seems a decent enough lad.

It's clear that it's Rafa who is reluctant to waste money, and he's right to do so, we bid £12m for Owen and £10m for Simao last summer, most of that money is still there, along with all the money from the CL merchandising, the Super Cup victory and the World Club Cup. Much ado about nothing in my opinion. Ask yourself why anyone would want to invest in LFC. If they are not a fan they are doing it to make money from the club, money that at the moment is being spent on the team. Anyone coming in has either got to be a fan who is doing it for love and is wealthy enough to make a difference or someone who will improve the structure of the club so much that any profit he is taking from the club is part of a much bigger chunk and doesn't affect our ability to spend. I think the French FA regulation relating to youth players moving abroad was pretty ambiguous and certain clubs exploited the grey areas, I read they were looking to change it though
