no, i think its 16 groups of 3 , with the winners going through to the last 16, and everyone else going home, so instead of being guaranteed 3 games, teams are only guaranteed 2. personally i think its nonsensical, because its just padding the competition out with more s*** teams

it should be Ally McCoist for every game, on every channel, for the rest of time

this one should be a belter. Costa Rica beating Japan has been a huge help to Germany here

thats it. 4 games a day. me not watching isnt going to change anything. my biggest complaint about it is that its interrupted the domestic season

atmosphere in the grounds is weird, but still much better than listening to those vuvuzelas from the South Africa edition. been some really good games, loved the Saudi's turning Argentina over. i think with any world cup though, it doesnt really get going til the last group games and the knockouts maybe, but i also think countries are entitled to have their own rules and laws as long as its what their citizens want. i may not personally agree with it, but its still their right. in the past i've been offered the opportunity to work in both Israel and Dubai. i've turned both down for very similar reasons

When the world cup was held in England in 1966, homosexuality was illegal. things change and places evolve. the world cup should never have been held in Qatar for a plethora of reasons. they dont have any real football culture, they didnt have any stadia to hold it in, the climate isnt great for it, they cant even really grow grass naturally. what came after with the deaths of migrant workers and what looks like , despite claims to the contrary, a huge carbon footprint, further re enforce that. i also think its been a huge PR own goal for Qatar. before the world cup no one really paid any attention to them, but when the spotlight has been shone on them, its not been pretty But If you start inspecting every countries human rights record or foreign policy or how they treat their citizens, theres basically nowhere you could have it. For What its worth, i think the World cup should go on a rota around various countries with the infrastructure to hold it. Say Germany, Spain, Italy, England, France, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, USA, South Korea, Japan, Australia, with others being added to the list if they can show they are in a position to hold it *this list i'snt exhaustive and i'm sure there's plenty of places i've missed off who could hold it

Normally, id want the Origi option, but goal difference is important to both, a good f***ing shoeing is the preferred scenario -

Benfica v Liverpool FC - Champions League Quarter Final - Tues 5 Apr @ 20:00

i cant stand him at all. He seems permanently pissed off with everything, even when he's talking about things he's supposedly passionate about, he just drones on and on. his interviewing technique in that Bootroom documentary was awful as well. framing a statement as a question and then asking people to agree with it. -
