Was great the other night. He was actually relatively poor at EURO 2008, just seemed to be in bad form and was played wide left.

"I am sadder for the fans that Liverpool haven't won the Premier League than for myself. I will keep my fingers crossed that the fans get what they deserve." Superb from Sami

Someone I know who was there said an Italian journo told him that Drogba got ref up against the wall in tunnel area and aimed a punch at him hitting the wall and missing him by millimetres

Have we all given up on the league now, saying that this thread has slipped near the bottom of the second page before this post. I've a funny feeling we might drop points at West Ham which would kill it but there's always the hope that we don't and somehow City and Arsenal shock United. Isn't there?

Perfectly undetrstandable if not forgiveable. We build up some instensity and tempo when we seek to take the lead or come from behind and then when we do we can't lower the tempo and go back to controlling the game as Rafa would say. I felt that at 2-1 last night - and unless we got a third then we were always likely to concede a second.

First game was April 1994 when we beat Ipswich 1-0. Julian Dicks penalty which may have been the last Liverpool goal scored in front of the old Kop. Paid £8 on the day. Flew over from Ireland on Manx Airlines and later went to the Grand National - paid £5 to get in on the day. Had a fiver on Minnehoma to win and won £80 quid which paid for the weekend trip.

Surprised there is so little reaction to Torres being out. I feel our admittedly remote chances of catching United went out the window when he picked up that ankle knock. Personally, I hope Kuyt gets the main attacking position on Saturday with Gerrard behind and Yossi on the right and Babel on the left or vice versa.
