A rather sensible approach to our position by a journalist

BURN HIM! -
*crosses fingers for Babel* Only joking - I would never wish that on him. I'd quite like to see him electrocuted in a bath/radio rap tragedy.

A little... We're swapping Rafa with... (insert name of top-class manager who, in reality, wouldn't touch us with a s***ty stick while our cancerous, blood-sucking, blow me f*ckface, yahoo bang-bang - Colt 45 wearing buddies from across the pond are still in control). Dosenna and Voronin have gone - and people paid US money to take them away. We signed Maxi Rodriguez - but found out later the same day he has a muscle-wasting disease. Babel has been scouring the record labels of Europe to see if anyone appreciates his rapping talents - Rafa is more of a drum and bass man and apparently their artistic differences have lead to an acrimonious break-up. However Simon Cowell is interested in taking him on loan to remake some of the Zig & Zag stuff.0 Kenwyn Jones is probably/over Steve Bruce's dead body coming on loan. and yes, yes I know I'm no GWistooshort

Sorry, missed that gem - his net spend for the last two seasons has been F*CK ALL . ZERO . ZILCH. NADA!!!! There was a time when if you wanted to educate football fans the yearly trip to the Bridge was a highlight - but you don't seem to have to travel that far these days! I could go on but I can't be arsed.
-
You can't separate the two! No one ever dies of AIDS, they slowly deteriorate until they eventually slip away from illnesses a child can fight off. A dramatic analogy I know - but these two are a f*cking cancer eating away at the very heart of the club, and to underestimate their involvement in our current malaise is wrong!
-
Not least the players! You can't underestimate the effect the close season antics had on them - going from being one of the best teams around in the last third of the season, to having the rug pulled from under them - very demoralising.

While we're all entitled to our own opinion, that's just about the stupidest f*cking thing I've ever read on here (and God knows you've got some stiff competition). I'm still flabbergasted that some people on here forget Rafa's record until these two took over: First Season - Champions League Winners Second Season - FA Cup Winners Third Season - Champion League Finalists ...and even after Rafa smelt a rat in the aftermath of the 07 Final (with their refusal to sanction a bid for Eto'o) he still got us to another CL semi the following season. To reply to the original post, some of us have refused to give the club any money, directly or indirectly, while those c*nts are still in control, - but with such a huge fan base it really is p*ssing in the wind. While SoS and other groups undertake real 'noble' work our only hope is to find a buyer, cos if you think things are bad now...

He looked way short of the pace yesterday and was absolutely shot by the end. We could do a lot worse than rest him over the next few games - lesser opposition and all that - or risk losing him to a long-term an injury.
-
What he said. A total no brainer - he was the best in the world in his prime.
-
You're probably right but if he has a good 4-5 months AND more importantly, a good world cup someone may think he's worth a decent bid. Then we could start a bidding war and... *sorry slipped into madness there*

“When I do well at training, I tell myself that I have proved I’m still up to it.” And therein lies the problem! Some other Babel gems... maybe "I think I am perhaps in the top five rappers in the world - When I do well at the rapping, I tell myself that I have proved I’m still up to it.” "In many ways I am similar to Einstein - When I do well at the quantum physics, I tell myself that I have proved I’m still up to it.”
-
He's 22 and that read like an interview with a twelve year old who's been left out of the school team. Not nearly enough upstairs!! Don't let the door hit your not inconsiderable a*** on the way out lad.

The man's a lunatic!
-
Thought it was his best performance by far - his confidence has taken a real leap forward, and for a striker that's imperative. His run for the penalty reminded me a liirtle of a young Henry. Looks like Rafa's gone and 'wasted' yet another £1.5m of our transfer budget.
-
HE'S GETTING PAID F*CKING WAGES?????? *writes to MP*
-
Hoarse but happy!
-
No, he'd ran himself in to the ground and was absolutely knackered. There's far too much being made about Rafa taking him off withe 6 minutes to go - if he'd been replaced by a half decent played instead of that pony-tailed f*ck-knuckle no one would have cared. Rafa probably stopped him doing something desparate and picking up an injury.

One Beach Ball - reasonable condition please return to - A Bellend, L4 0TQ, UK. One Cruciate Ligament - needs serious attention please return to - Sotirios Kyrgiakos, L4 0TQ, UK. Two Groins - some wear and tear please return to - Pointless Fecking Intenationals PLC, Geneva, Switzerland! Early Season Optimism - dissipating please return to Will G, on the same bridge as Walrus (another thread), somewhere in the UK. ********************* it's been a real c*nt of a week but somehow we're not out of it yet as everyone has had such a patchy start... but the sooner we go on a cracking run, the better! Here's hoping Aquilani turns out to be a cross between Kenny, Cruyf & Christ Night all
-
At least he's honest enough to admit that... The boy has the mental capacity of a fecking 10 year-old - if Rafa had received a single half-decent bid he'd have carried him to the airport himself!
-
I'm gonna stick my neck out here and say that it's virtually guaranteed that he will score the winner in the Champions League Final!
-
Thought the lad showed a great deal of promise! God forbid I was under that level of scrutiny as an 18 year-old...
