  1. YOU'RE ALL RACISTS Oh sorry... wrong thread
  2. Midnight... then the Bentley turns into a pumpkin PS Some of the sanctimonious shyte that's been spouted in this thread is unbelievable. None of you know to what extent that lad was actually involved but he's being hung, drawn and quartered in some quarters here (is that two quarters???) Get a fecking grip and wait to see what actually happened before you go burning your Gerrard shirts on Sky Sports News eh!!!
  3. I'd boo it!
  4. I was just thinking the same. Either he knows, and has been asked to keep schtum or... somthing else. Seem to remember him quoting EH some months ago saying he would jump at the chance to return. I, for one, would welcome him back with open arms - he's an option we've been sorely missing.
  5. Liverpool's first gay scandal I know jar's got good abs but I'd have gone for Torres instead... not Robbie's first poor decision around the box this season.
  6. Yossi's an OK squad player... but I was amazed that we turned down good money from Roma in the summer. Not sure he'd get too many games for any of our main rivals.
  7. So you think he's average and Beneitez spunked the cash on him, anything else??
  8. If one of the best managers in the world makes you the most expensive teenage signing EVER I'd say that was a ringing endorsement... of the talent and potential I've been refering to. I do understand that he is a complete bellend who will probably look back on his career as a wasted opportunity - but the fact is that he is very talented & the original post I replied to was about "Benitez spunking £6.7m on an average player" - total boll*ocks.
  9. Wenger and Benitez seemed to think that he's particularly talented - because he plainly is. The sad point is that he only shows glimpses of it becuase he's too stupid to knuckle down.
  10. That 'average' player was the best on the pitch in our last Champions League Final - Pennant's anything but average. He's stupid on a biblical level, yes, but has all the talent in the world and could be a fabulous player. That £6.7 million would be seen as a snip if Rafa could have got the best out of him, but just as he was starting to look the part, he went and broke his foot. I don't think he's the type of person who spends his spare time reading so it's the worst thing that could have happened.
  11. Everyone!!!! Just play Torres up front with a back 'two' of Reina and Sami - it's only West f*cking Brom!
  12. With all due respect... utter shyte People warble on about how Maradona won the World Cup all on his own (a myth as Argentina have never had a bad side) but Pele had a far greter impact on a World Cup in Sweden 58 when he won it as a SEVENTEEN year old. Maradona was great but to compare him with Pele, a more rounded footballer in every aspect of the game, is nonsense.
  13. Dalglish (possible bias) Pele Maradona
  14. For Mexico 86 alone he is a god - 3rd best player ever!
  15. There's a great version to Bad Boy by Gloria Estefan
  16. It wouldn' t, and like you say, someone will take your ticket if you don't go. There must be a way to galvanise support (or lack of it) to the point where a boycott would make them stand up, take notice, and hoefully f*ck off. Of course, I don't know how you'd go about it but it's nice to dream.
  17. That seems to be the major sticking point, doesn't it. I'm not sure if that a defeatist attitude or just plain realistic. It would need a hell of a lot of work to make sure 'everyone' knew beforehand - but I'm not sure it's impossible and the effect would be worth it. Nothing speaks louder than a cash till to these two and showing them that we had the genuine weapon of a boycott might get the ‘for sale’ signs up.
  18. Best goalkeeping display in a cup final since Bert Trautman broke his neck - class. YNWA
  19. There has been talk of a match boycott for quite some time now... but at what point does being a fanatical supporter, turning up game after game, and lining the pockets of these two f*cking charlatans start to do more harm to the club than good. When the Klinsmann stories broke last year, would a strong and sustained boycott have made them cut their losses (or profit to be more precise). I know we were still in with a shout of the league and the Champions League and the thought of ever boycotting a game would be complete sacrilege to some, but in the end we finished without a trophy and we still have these two c*nts in charge. This is not a preach, I'm genuinely interested in people's opinons.

Hold on, I thought he was the cheap option. and therefore utter shyte. I can't keep up with youse, I really can't.

    Henry

I remember you saying when he left that you'd become quite close to Emile - I just never realised it was 'that' type of relationship To be fair, I think he'd be the perfect foil for Torres against certain types of opposition (last Saturday anyone?) and wouldn't be suprised to see him back come January especially considering we'd get him for next to nowt.
  23. 7 minutes I didn't think anyone would bite that quickly, but congratulations anyway
  24. 99 goals maybe, but how many have been 'important' goals - if he could step-up in the big games like Lampard does he'd be nearer to 200 by now
