  1. I'd rather have the Stockwell Strangler than Robben!! HE . IS . A . DIVING . C*NT
  2. Is the correct answer! Lets just hope it doesn't come to that...
  3. No - and I'd have to be convinced that I wasn't p*ssing in the wind if I was to ever give my (theoretical) ST up? Can you imagine thousands of ST holders giving them up in protest... ony for those who've been waiting on the list for years to come and snap them up!
  4. I understand all of that... but the only way supporters can ever have any effect on those other revenues streams would be with a ST (and general) boycott and the subsequent knock-on effects - bums on seats might be less lucrative year-on-year but it's the only power supporters have. As other posters have said earlier in the thread, a boycott will probably never happen, but who would want to televise or sponsor a football match in an empty souless stadium - apart from Emirates of course.
  5. The point you make about lack of atmosphere comes back to my original topic in 08 - at what point does your continual support for the team actually start to harm the club? It's a conundrum - the overwhelming majority would never consider giving up a season ticket, as the club is a huge part of their lives. Our main revenue comes from ST holders so any protest, like them not turning up for a numbner of games, would be a total waste of time - the Americans wouldn't give a flying f*ck as their cash would already be in the bank.
  6. Despite quoting my post you've manged not to read it, well done! "Early last year, in the wake of news of the Klinsmann approach" wasn't last season - it was the 2007-2008 season! ...and where does it say I've "considered" doing anything? I have merely posted a question for debate. READ . IT . AGAIN . SLOWLY!
  7. Early last year, in the wake of news of the Klinsmann approach, I posted the topic "When does supporting the team start to harm the club" or somethinglikethat... and people were pretty much steadfastly against a boycott. Has that view changed? What would it take for you to boycott the club you love short-term - in the long-term interest of getting rid of the Americans?
  8. I've got a mate, who's a friend of Beckham's cousin Tracey (who incidently, is a West Ham season ticket holder and a close personal friend of Sir Trevor Brooking) and he told me that she told him that 'Becks' (come on Engerland) was in Liverpool for a medical yesterday! Not sue what it's all about but thought I'd pass it on!
  9. I know it's silly season, but the level of paranoia on here really is at an all-time high. Firstly, Torres to (insert club here) - it's just not going to happen, so don't waste any further key strokes. Secondly, Masch and Xabi. They both have three years to run on their contracts... we have a master tactician as our manager who for the first time since he arrived, has control of transfer dealings - relax! If we were to lose one of them... and there hasn't been a single story from a credible journo to suggest as much, we're in a position to charge the earth in transfer fees and move forward. It's just another sign of how far we have progressed in the last few years that the OTHER big European clubs are after our players. We are LIVERPOOL (some of you seem to have forgotten this) and a lot of the 'commentary' on here has been small-time panic. Real, Barca, Chelsea and the Glams all know we're on the brink of something special and it doesn't seem to have occurred to some on here that it's a page one, basic tactic for them to try and disrupt our progress. Clubs use agents, their press & media contacts, and all manner of jiggery pokery to plant stories to create a momentum for transfer dealings. Thankfully Rafa will, without a shadow of a doubt, have been expecting all this activity and will have our bases covered. Sit back, enjoy the ride, and try to panic! YNWA
  10. It's anagram code... Dunces an Scat! Which is quite apt for such a s*** article!
  11. Thank feck for that... the Heinze story had me really quite depressed.
  12. A bit harsh... but then again, he's still technically a Manc!
  13. Nani's world class (and only one word)
  14. Three words... Juan Sebastian Veron *rests case*
  15. Joey Barton... the toilets are in a hell of state after match days and we need good cover in case Pissy Sid is off sick!
  16. Only language some people understand - well done!
  17. You sir, with all due respect, are either a wind-up merchant, (in which case, much applause for the response you're getting) or a f*cking tool! That was one of the poorest penalty decisions I have EVER seen - and it screamed of something more sinister. I'm all for Liverpool fans being seen to be fair, and hate the reactionary knee-jerkers on here as much as anyone else, but you've gone too far when you say it was a "Disappointing decision, nothing more." I phoned a Tottenham friend just before the first goal to say how much of a c*nt Webb was, just for his decision making to that point - and despite that they still managed to go two goals up. Utd had one shot on goal from open play before the penalty and to belittle the effect that the penalty decision may have on the title run-in is frankly, taking the p*ss! Just think of their shaky defence going into the next few games knowing another defeat would have US back at the top of the table... but this time, with no game in hand to fall back on! Quite simply, Howard Webb should be demoted. Several referees already have been for lesser 'mistakes' and the FA's response will be interesting, if not entirely predictable. Without getting all 'grassy knoll' about it, there are a few bent Italian refs who wouldn't have been 'bold' enough to give that penalty today, and I'm for one, am still seething! ITHENGUEWANGOONIGHT!
  18. Too many scousers by far!
  19. Apparently Demento has been asking what Rafa was doing in Dallas the day Kennedy got shot, and then blamed him for starting the First World War! I think Rafa might be getting under his skin.
  20. WillG

    Bruce

Was he at the service on Wednesday?
  21. from BBC round up ...Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston has signed a new two-year contract at the club. (Daily Mirror) Anyone know anything about him?
  22. A bit of a black & white summary even for someone with your login - there's a VERY LONG way to go yet!
  23. The fact that they needed 93 minutes and three goals to beat a p*ss-poor Villa side speaks volumes. There's no sour grapes in that statement and it was a fantastic finish from the the young lad who scored the winner but I'm hugely encouraged by their performance - or lack of it. Don't think that their frailties haven't been noticed by the managers of teams they're yet to play. GAME ON!
  24. Can't argue with that!
  25. hahaha particularly liked the 'fear' comment
