The length of time it took the linesman to flag then the speed of the VAR decision is very, very suspicious, when you consider that opened up the ‘not a clear and obvious error’ angle for Oliver on VAR. He’s bent - the examples of the UAE bumper payday ref crew favouring City or going against us and Arsenal is just too obvious.

Gomez has been fit for a month and he couldn’t possibly be any worse. It’s a real shame Leoni got that injury.

Even when he was good (and he was good) he’d have the odd game where he was a complete mess. Now that’s basically every game. He unsettles everyone with mad unforced errors every single week. My impression (based on some of the comments he made last year about VVD especially) is that he has a massive ego, thinks he is worth more than he is, and his head is elsewhere because we haven’t offered him £250k a week. His lack of concentration this year is appalling, he’s playing like he’s not arsed and ironically is probably reducing his big payday elsewhere by being so sh*t this season. Someone will pay him though as he’s free. Its a poor reflection on Slot that he’s starting.

He has been dreadful this season but he won the league last year so will and should get time.

Oliver’s record with City is incredibly dodgy. Actually bent him. Absolute disgrace.

How does that useless pr*ck keep playing for Liverpool? City literally marking everyone else so he gets the ball should say it all. Sloppy defensive error after defensive error and thinks he’s too good for us. Hes f*cking sh*te.

Think Dom this season has been the player we thought we’d got in his early days after we signed him. His work rate and pace have always been a massive asset, but his quality in terms of striking the ball, making good decisions and picking passes is massively improved. He always looked to have the technique to be this player. I wonder whether the game has just slowed down a bit for him playing in space at right back? He seemed to really benefit from his spell there.

The biggest issue with Issk is he’s always f*cking injured. I was a bit surprised we spent as much as we did on a player with his fitness record. He’s obviously a brilliant footballer technically and I’m sure he’ll be great but the spells out also come with periods of games not at 100%.

Would have been the softest pen in history. If he’d give that after the clusterf*ck at the other end there would have been riots.

He’s just not as comfortable passing it out short under pressure as Ali but very few are. I’d rather he not push that too far if he’s unsure and he does strike a nice longer ball which might be effective at times to Mo especially.

Why would you put Kerkez in for City? Defence has finally looked solid without him since Robbo has returned.

True. I think he might end up playing RW a fair bit when Mo is at AFCON, especially if Bradley stays fit.

Missing Diaz on that front who is being annoyingly brilliant for Bayern. I think if you swapped him back in for say Chiesa the squad would be really well rounded. Just feels like we lack a bit of pace / width as you say.

After City we have: Forest home, PSV home, West Han away, Sunderland home, Leeds away, Inter away, Brighton home, Spurs away and Wolves home for the rest of the year. We could really go on a run and be in touch by the New Year. We had a crap start but tough fixtures.

I think when you stop and look at this season so far, Slot has just tried to integrate the new players too quickly. Ekitike is ready and first choice, Wirtz is getting there but Kerkez and Frimpong should have been eased in.

Made a huge difference last couple of games.

Just watching Ekitike tonight, his build up play is superb. He should be first choice now going forward, he’s too good to be anywhere but up front. Isak will have to earn his way in from the bench, he will be a great finisher but he can’t do what Ekitike does for the team.

Should have been booked about 6 times.

One decent one with his foot from Bellingham but that was it. We absolutely hammered them, moreso than last year.

Brilliant from front to back that, superb performance from every one of them and thoroughly deserved. Bradley smashed Vini Jnr into little sad pieces.

Just making that decision took longer than 2 minutes. The pen decision was a disgrace but it’s hardly a surprise, Real have always been favoured by UEFA. Bent as f*ck.
