  1. I think he’s got incredible supersub potential. He looks like a great finisher technically which is obviously really important in that role, and everyone seems to love him. He brings an energy that can change the vibe of a game we are struggling in, so I’d be keen to keep him around and regularly chuck him on after 70 minutes.
  2. Nobody is coming out of this well now.
  3. This content is not viewable to guests.
  4. I think it’ll be a negative and a distraction if he doesn’t sign, people were burned by Trent and (rightfully) won’t believe the ‘I might sign just want to concentrate on football’ line. I don’t think the fans would ‘turn on him’ as such but he won’t be popular doing another Trent to Real. His mistakes will be amplified and it’ll be a lot of pressure. I’d try to force a sale if we can’t sign him up before the deadline (and get Guehi). If we can’t then Guehi goes in as first choice and he warms the bench in a World Cup year.
  5. Let me guess - Curtis Jones? MacAllister is our ‘best’ all round midfielder, but other players in the squad can replace his creativity to an extent. Nobody can do the things that Gravenberch does and that is an issue, it’s why he played almost every game last season.
  6. Watching us tonight and in the Community Shield, I think our single most important player has become Ryan Gravenberch. We are going to score goals but look massively exposed without his protection of the back four and positive distribution. Endo has to play when he doesn’t or we are completely unbalanced.
  7. Watching us tonight and in pre season I can’t help but think we should have bought another mobile DM. If Gravenberch gets injured we are in trouble.
  8. Guehi seems underrated on here, I think people are in for a pleasant surprise. There is very little between him and Konate. Ibou is as good as anyone on his day but he has his nightmare games too and he’s always injured. We will be getting more consistency and he’s excellent on the ball.
  9. Paid close attention Guehi brings another dimension
  10. I’m not sure how many clubs have the £120m or whatever it’s going to take, plus the need and PSR space. Might have to be Saudi if not us which would be a real shame.
  11. You know I’m just kidding!
  12. Funny that’s what the Palace fans said…
  13. I think he’s very talented, it’s frustrating he’s pretty much permanently injured.
  14. Jones playing left wing would not be good…
  15. Gravenberch has become indispensable, we aren’t the same team without him. Endo can’t pass it like he can and none of the others are really any good there at all. i thought Bajcetic looked capable of playing in a similar style to Grav, but assuming he’d be ahead of Endo if the manager thought he was good enough.
  16. This was fairly prophetic! Could have easily been punished a few times from sloppy passes.
  17. That Wharton lad is a proper player for them, some of his passing yesterday was sublime.
  18. Hahaha I’ve just realised his name actually was Roy!! Although this one lived in Tuebrook, was a kick-boxer and sold gear.
  19. No that was the captain of my Saturday footy team The APH. Was a real memento of us winning the league that. Some f*cking weapon he had on him!
  20. I’ve heard he’s caused quite a bit of discontent at his currrent club.
  21. My mate had a type of hernia when we were in school and it made one of his balls grow enormous.
  22. Yes he has pace, work rate and terrible movement.
  23. He scored a couple of absolutely crucial last minute goals it’s also worth noting. The injury time Brentford double away last season was a huge moment in our title charge. Forest away the season before was epic. He frustrated the hell out of me most of the time but gave us some great moments too. Some players who leave I want to fail, genuinely hope he does really well.
  24. Happy Darwin to a going, but wish him well. Think he’ll rightfully get a good reception anytime he’s back at Anfield, always worked hard and did his best.
  25. He’ll have 4 goals after 60 minutes most weeks, and we have an ‘£80m backup’. Not very Liverpool apparently but I suppose we will have to make do….
