Soz - Wharton!

Wirtz and Wharton both have Thiago’s low sock baller vibe. I very much like this. Those two, Kerkez and Frimpong would be an incredible summer.

I don’t want to be think about him at all these next few weeks. He’s gone, it’s not about him anymore. I’m now just the level of indifferent I am to most players who leave Liverpool by choice. Just want to celebrate!

Frimpong will be a great start, fast as anything and could cover RB and RW. We have a great first team, aside from striker and LB which need upgrading, it’s all about deeper squad options and flexibility for Arne to rotate without any drop in quality. We need that at RB, CM and CB.

Wirtz is a lovely footballer, perfect fit for a Slot team. I could really see him in a false 9 role here playing like Bobby facilitating everyone round him, but he can play as the 10 as well. That flexibility would be great. Our setup is for Mo to be the goalscorer so we don’t really need an out and out striker as such in my opinion. I’d probably keep Jota and manage his minutes to try to keep his injuries down as he is good when he’s fit. Then we’d have Diaz who can play LW and CF, Wirtz 9 or 10, Jota CF, Mo RW, Gakpo LW and Frimpong as RW cover. All this said probably f*ck all chance we get him.

Our subs all showed why the squad needs work - Nunez, Jota, Elliott all had loads of opportunity and freedom but showed their weaknesses. No idea why we aren’t seeing more of Chiesa over Nunez and Jota.

I’m happy with Bradley first choice RB but because he’s had a few injuries in his career so far, I’d prefer a backup who wasn’t massively injury prone in Gomez. And who could play attacking RB. We need another option there, I don’t ever want to see Endo, Jones or Quanssh at RB they are not backups they are stop gaps. We struggled badly with both Bradley and TAA out - we rely on our full backs to play our game.

Would be a brilliant signing, think he is extremely talented and would suit Slots style of play. We’d have incredible options in CM adding him. .

Can’t see whoever that is being anything like 6”1 unless all our officials are massive, they are all taller than him. Frimpong maybe? That would be good.

Doing everything as per Madrid instructions.. Laughable all this sh*t I assume his agent / team have been putting out about him making up his mind in March. Been in cahoots with them for 18 months.

Such a cool dude, talks absolute sense all the time. It doesn’t sound like a big compliment, but I don’t think I’ve heard him say one silly thing yet. Almost every other manager does so with differing levels of regularity. He’s so calm, so smart, so understated. Absolutely remarkable what he’s done this season.

I hated playing a weak team there, hopefully the only thing he got from it is our squad players are not good enough. Can’t stand Chelsea, helping their CL push and getting beat by them is sh*t. Thought that was really disappointing and a massive come down after Sunday.

Ali seems a great human being, as well as the best in the world in his position. Will be an all time LFC legend.

I’d have sold Lucho last summer but think he’s had a brilliant season and hope he renews now. He always worked hard and was a wiling runner but he has added more end product under Slot. Also he has shown versatility playing both left side and up front, and avoided injuries. He has been consistent and influential in our title win. And his Dad has shut up too.

I guess with Chiesa it’s simply that Arne only sees him as a right sided player and Mo has very little down time. I’d have liked to see him up front a bit based on Jota and Nunez’s form second half of the season myself. The run and way he took his goal at Wembley backed that up. He is a talented player and his attitude seems to have been exemplary considering the circumstances. I think Diaz has overall had a great season, don’t want to sell him now and he’s able to play right across the front three. His work rate and willingness to run at defenders has been a big plus this year. He makes things happen. Gakpo is brilliant we have missed him at his best. One of our best finishers with Mo and again direct, puts defenders on the back foot. Was watching his runs on Sunday and he looked a nightmare to play against. For me Nunez first choice sale, Jota second and keep the rest. But if he just chose to sell Nunez and replace with a top number 9 or Bobby type I’d be fine with that. You don’t want too much change at once.
